Let me pull on your coat for a minute. A small miracle occurred, whereby a woman who used to be a waitress at the Royal Horse Jazz club in Osaka , obtained a cassette copy of the show. Without any prompting on my part, she came to my flat in S.F. to visit my roommate, and when she saw various Waits imagery in the flat, she inquired, told me she had it, and I got to borrow the cassette and design a CD package for her and some friends. This was all back around 2007. One of the Holy Grail's of missing Waits shows was just down the block from me. Tracks are 1.Summertime 2.Annie's Back In Town 4:03 3. I Never Talk To Strangers 7:53 4.Pasties And A G-String 12:35 5.Muriel 17:44 6.Jitterbug Boy 21:26

This film is dedicated to the masters of film and music that have influenced me, and the cast. This is a Smokin' Mirrors © production created by Andre Hunt. Try the HD settings and a large screen..The title for this film is really Bum Rap, but you'd never find it using those two words alone.

Bum Rap had a completely different script in the beginning. This is the very first scene shot and never used. Stephen Hollis on the left, Bernardo Quintana on the right. They're looking in the front window of the Art Academy in San Francisco, which holds their classic car collection. Bernardo hands Stephen a glass cutter, with a mysterious woman's earring clipped onto it. Music is by Anja Garbarek.

These are two of the three actors in Bum Rap hanging with me at Cafe Trieste about three years ago. Times change, Bernardo has been 86'd and Riki Chen on the right passed in Jan 2016 from cancer. Bernardo here has just come up with the name Lardass for a friend of ours. I thought you might enjoy Riki having a fun moment.

This is a slightly speeded up version of my last upload, thus, a few seconds shorter, too.

Here are the lyrics. (Steven does some comedy first) A different kind of comfort lives in me now been gone that long, too long a time You've heard me say, loves just a word that pain prevails, life seems absurd but now I know that sunny side to life Away, away.... The rainy days the dusty book stores Don't you try and count the years Of broken hearts and empty bottles Times crazy souvenirs The misty shades and shadows of our smokey childhood dreams Do you remember when the tides they were high and the grass was always green? Yes, there's the many who seem not to understand The pleasures of life at their command tear down the walls that bind you the lives that entwine you they may blind you from your sunny side to life. Away, away... The rainy days the dusty book stores Don't try to count the years Of broken hearts and empty bottles Life's crazy souvenirs The misty shades the shadows Of our Smokey childhood dreams my dear, do you remember when the tides they were high and the grass was always green?

Try the 720 or 1080p settings and larger screens on this. So, here we are, earning a living over the skies of New York. Tennis, but if you want them to be playing Badminton, it's ok by me. A Smokin" Mirrors production. It may become part of a bigger film...

One of a number of tunes Mr. Sak is working on. Filmed in San Francisco. I'll upload two songs.

This very short scene took about a month to complete. Only about 7 seconds, it's looped a few times here so one can start to catch what's going on. It's one scene of many for a new project. Other sequences are on line with correct audio. Maybe by the third of fourth time you'll notice that people are walking on the distant street, and you might also catch some cold breath leaving the leaning man who zooms past. Almost all the buildings are moving independently of each other as the perspective changes. The clouds are also up to no good. Thanks for watching..

Who says there's no romance on my menu? Hanging at my favorite cafe. Joined by a couple of hipsters. Nothing stopped these two. I think the fellow on top may have dropped dead in the middle of it. Saw him land, walk over, and get it on. She never moved once no matter how many times I stuck the camera, (a Canon Elph 310 HS) right in their faces. Or whatever you'd like to call their front ends.

8 Episodes of this crazy show were created for San Francisco's community television back in 1992-93. This is one of them from 1993. A little editing on the opening monologue was done for this upload to keep things rolling along. Created by Stephen Hollis, the series was a base to develop ideas filmed in remotes and also comedy interviews and sketches in the studio. This is a rare glimpse of a special time in San Francisco, with local talent coming from performers who worked in the public domain. (Street performers, you idiot) Stephen Hollis wrote and produced all the 8 episodes, which included mock commercials.
