The US lawfirm Covington & Burling helps Morocco in the illegal plunder of phosphates from occupied Western Sahara. The firm has made an analysis for their Moroccan government client, stating that the phosphate plunder is legal and for the benefit of the local people. Senia is a refugee from occupied Western Sahara, and none of her countrymen benefits from the industry. She wants the US lawfirm to explain how the plunder can be beneficial to her people. Sahrawi Malak Amidane tells how she was fired from her work after she had received a delegation of foreigners. Amidane is from Western Sahara, a country occupied by Morocco. Morocco refuses to implement more than 100 UN resolutions that demand self-determination fo the Sahrawi people, and violate the 1991 peace agreement with the Sahrawis to implement a referendum on independence. Teenage girl faces sexual humiliation, torture and the threat of rape

Hayat Erguibi is a 19 year old teenage girl from Western Sahara, a territory occupied by Morocco. She describes her ordeal and suffering in the hands of a police commander, as she faced sexual humiliation, torture and the threat of being raped by the local police. The incident took place on 22 February 2009. The UN has a force in Western Sahara to carry out a referendum on independence, but Morocco refuse sto cooperate with the UN, and oppress those who work to have the referendum implemented. Demand from the international community that the UN monitors the human rights violations committed by Moroccan authorities in Western Sahara. PotashCorp phosphate imports from occupied Western Sahara denounced

PotashCorp is the most important customer of phosphate rock from occupied Western Sahara. The rock is exported from Western Sahara by the occupying power, Morocco, in violation of international law. The trade is highly unethical, contributing to prolong the illegal occupation of the last colony on the African continent. Nazha Elkhalidi detained for filming in public

Saharawi journalist Nazha Elkhalidi was detained 4th December 2018 for filming local protesters in the street of El Aaiun, occupied Western Sahara. In March 2019, she was notified that she is facing charges of "claiming or usurping a title associated with a profession that is regulated by law without meeting the necessary conditions to use it". According to Article 381 of the Moroccan Penal Code, if found guilty El Khalidi could be sentenced to between three months and two years, and to pay a fine of between 120 Dirhams (12 Euros) and 5.000 Dirhams (500 Euros). It is the first time that a Moroccan prosecutor levels these charges against a Sahrawi journalist, as media activists are often charged with unrelated crimes such as destruction of property. Vessel 'Thor Omega', owned by Faroe Islands company 'Thor Offshore' started in January 2009 working in occupied Western Sahara. The vessel is chartered by Norwegian-Dutch firm Fugro-Geoteam, which is carrying out seismic surveys for Morocco, the occupying power in Western Sahara. The UN legal experts have stated that such operations will be in violation of international law, but still the activities are carried out. This video clip was filmed in Las Palmas harbour, the same day that 'Thor Omega' left for occupied Western Sahara.
