I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous. Today I'm taking a break from teaching law students how to kick ass in law school to take on lawyers in the movies and on TV. While all legal movies and shows take dramatic license to make things more interesting (nobody wants to see hundreds of hours of brief writing), many of them have a grain of truth. Today we’ll look at some of the more creative escapes, in this episode of the infographics show, the greatest prison escapes in history. Real Doctor Reacts to HOUSE M.D. | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

14:49
Once again I dove into the comments section to see what medical tv drama you wanted me to review next and it seemed like Dr. House or House M.D. was the next most popular choice. Get ready TV Doctors, because Dr. Mike is coming for you =] Full disclosure, I have watched a few episodes of House before but this was probably 10 years ago so I decided to go ahead and start this tv medical drama review off with the first episode ( House MD episode 1 ) of the series. I was really curious to see the difference in watching the show now that I am a licensed doctor. The last time I watched the program I was in high school and knew a tenth of the medical knowledge I know now! Honestly, I love this medical tv show series because I think it allows us to laugh at some of the crazy situations Hugh Laurie gets himself into. Plus It gave an interesting look at what life is like as an infectious disease doctor especially one as highly regarded as Dr. House. Obviously, the way that he practices medicine is not realistic or accurate because we don't break into people's homes nor do we treat them without explaining what we are doing. All in all, I think Dr. House is a must watch tv show if you're into medical dramas just for laughs alone. I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches House M.D. / Real Doctor Reacts to House M.D. If you want me to continue making this series please like the video and leave me a comment on which show or episode you'd like for me to review next. Movie Night With a Physicist

21:28
Physics comes up in movies a lot, and as quite a difficult subject it is fun to see how physics is interpreted through the lens of cinema. Sometimes they get it very right and sometimes they get it very wrong! A friend of mine who is really into movies picked out a bunch of clips for me to interrogate. Some movies I had seen before, and others I hadn't. See how Hollywood does with some hardcore physics! I have posters available to buy here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/dominicwalliman I have also made versions available for educational use which you can find here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/ Also, if you enjoyed this video, you will probably like my Professor Astro Cat science books, available in all good books shops world in over 24 languages! http://profastrocat.com Thanks so much to my supporters on Patreon. Best of Louis Litt (Suits)

13:07
Best moments of Louis Litt from seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Suits. Suits is a USA Network TV drama that features Rick Hoffman playing Louis Litt - an expert in corporate finance at the Pearson-Hardman Law Firm. Though considered a very dedicated partner, Louis exhibits many comedic traits such as extreme paranoia, jealously, and vindictiveness. In my opinion, Louis makes the show. Real Doctor Reacts to SCRUBS | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

12:01
This is the one you've all been asking for. Scrubs. Ever since I started my medical training in 2007 all of my friends have been telling me that I MUST watch the TV show Scrubs but for some reason, I was always a little hesitant to start it. Maybe because I looked at medicine as a serious field, it didn't make sense to watch a comedy about it. Well, now I am taking your advice and watching the first episode ever of the medical drama. Although I think this show is less of a medical drama is more of a medical comedy or satire. I can see why many medical professionals enjoy this show because working many hours in the hospital system can leave you feeling frustrated at times, Now, as far as my opinion goes I have to be honest. This show is not as appealing to me as it is for most of my friends. I feel like they take easy shots at medicine and exaggerate a lot for the sake of humor (especially Zach Braff ) Not sure why, but the humor didn't land for me that often. I also think I would probably need to watch a few more episodes as the pilot is rarely the best one. Also, Zach Braff irritates me just a little a bit in his acting. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Scrubs / Real Doctor Reacts to Scrubs. If you want me to continue making this medical drama review series please like the video and leave me a comment on which tv drama show or episode you'd like for me to review next. Love you all! Real Lawyer vs. Movie Lawyer | Lawyer Reacts to A Few Good Men, 12 Angry Men, & Erin Brockovich

30:22
I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. Like most people, I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous. Today I'm taking a break from teaching law students how to kick ass in law school. This one is just for fun. In this video I tackle some of the most famous courtroom scenes in Hollywood history including A Few Good Men, 12 Angry Men, The Dark Knight, and Erin Brockovich. Great dramas, but BAD lawyering. They are preposterous, but I still love watching them. SUIT UP! Even if you're not a lawyer, you can still dress like one. All of my suits are from BlackLapel (I've used them exclusively for over five years). Their custom suits are amazing, yet still ridiculously affordable. HIGHLY recommended: https://go.magik.ly/ml/f78n/ (affiliate link, which helps out the channel) I hope this will be the first video in a series of "Lawyer Reacts" videos. There are a lot of portrayals of lawyers in the media including movies and TV -- and a lot of cringeworthy lawyering. Got a movie or TV show you'd like me to critique? Let me know in the comments! Real Psychologist Reviews Mental Illness In Movies

Back at with my second review of greys anatomy the hit medical tv show on ABC. Now you know my feelings on medical tv dramas-- I need less loving and more medicine haha! This was a crazy episode but it is a fan favorite so I decided to review it. Definitely not every day that you see a pole go through two humans! Real Doctor Reacts to CODE BLACK | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

15:21
Next up on the medical drama review series is Code Black. Funny story about this show. For some reason, the YouTube algorithm labeled your comments recommending Code Black as spam. So when I went into my comments review section I saw hundreds of comments pushing to make a code black reaction video. This is not as popular of a hospital drama show in ratings compared to monsters like House or Grey's anatomy but it still has a large fanbase and does well on CBS. After watching the show I was pleasantly surprised at not only how accurate code black is but also how much I enjoyed it. It really felt as if a doctor wrote the script and then it was fluffed up instead of the other way around. If you like this show please let me know in the comments so that I can watch and react to more episodes (suggestions welcome). Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Code Black / Real Doctor Reacts to Code Black. Real Doctor Reacts to GREY'S ANATOMY | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

16:38
In my Real Doctor vs. TV Doctor medical drama review video, I promised that if you got that video to 10,000 likes I would record myself reacting to a full grey's anatomy episode. You got it to 20,000 likes! You have spoken and I have listened. You should know that I do get the question a lot from patients as well. Is grey's anatomy accurate? So I finally decided to take a dive and find out! In this video, I sit down and watch the first ever Grey's Anatomy episode. Basically, a real doctor reacts to greys anatomy! I grew up watching ER and other TV medical dramas so I had a suspicion I would enjoy the show. I have to say this, greys anatomy is not medically accurate but the way it describes the characters as residents is very accurate. The hospital drama is real and I feel the show did a good job highlighting the difficulties of being a resident, inside the hospital and out. The one medical scene which totally threw me is when the surgeons automatically assumed that the seizure patient will need surgery before even coming to a diagnosis. That is not real life medicine. It surprised me that the show is actually very entertaining and I actually enjoy the drama between McDreamy / Derek Shepherd and Meredith Grey. Apparently, TV doctors do have souls haha. The hospital romance is real! Get this video to 15k likes If you want me to do another doctor reacts to greys or doctor reacts to the good doctor or any other show. Real Lawyer Reacts to L.A. Law, Boston Legal, Rick & Morty, and Ally McBeal

I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. Like most people, I love watching legal TV shows and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are so ridiculous. Today I'm taking a break from teaching law students how to kick ass in law school. This one is just for fun. In this video I tackle some of the most famous courtroom scenes in Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, and LA Law. Great dramas, but BAD lawyering. Doctor Mike On Set of The Resident! | Audition FAIL + Cast Interview

07:56
I have NEVER been on the set of a major TV show and when the folks from The Resident reached out I was incredibly excited to make this video happen. In partnership with Fox's medical show The Resident, I visited the set, interviewed Manish Dayal, and even tried my hand at auditioning with a pro actor. You know that I've been watching a lot of medical dramas lately so going behind the scenes of a major show was very very cool. I got to review the set and see how they basically built a full hospital within a warehouse! The scale of what they are able to accomplish for these shows is truly impressive. Please let me know if you enjoyed this type of video with a comment and a like so that we can continue to make more unique and fun content every Sunday morning at 11am EST! Love you all! Real Doctor Reacts to CHICAGO MED | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

13:12
Next up on the medical drama review series is Chicago Med. I know that the series has multiple shows airing simultaneously like Chicago p.d. and Chicago fire, so this gave me hope that the Chicago Med will be pretty good since they have experience in making these types of shows. Chicago Med is surprisingly fresh. It had all the attributes of a quality medical drama. Unique medical conditions that inherently bring drama to the screen. Solid actors and actresses. Good character development, without that much romantic drama. Although I'm sure it will come in the later episodes (please correct me if I'm wrong). This show pleasantly surprised me and left me wanting to watch another episode. Basically, the question I am answering in this description is how accurate is Chicago Med. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Chicago Med / Real Doctor Reacts to Chicago Med . Real Doctor Reacts to THE NIGHT SHIFT | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

16:00
Next up on the medical drama review series is the Night shift. I originally saw many comments praising this show as a popular and quality medical drama with a military twist. This got me really excited cause I really enjoy military fiction shows. After watching several of these tv dramas I feel like writers are really trying to force some of these concepts and it shows. I know this is the medical drama review series but man this show was so over the top it is crazy. Grey's anatomy is even more toned down and realistic than the stuff that went on during this pilot. I'm all for a little juicy hospital drama but the night shift really feels like its going too far. I mean the lead actor/doctor actually hits a hospital administrator and another doctor MMA chokes a patient and no one even gets in trouble. How unrealistic can it get??? Basically, the question I am answering in this description is how accurate is the night shift . The answer is ehhh. =] Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches The Night Shift / Real Doctor Reacts to the Night Shift . The good doctor is becoming my favorite show on TV let alone my favorite medical drama. I really have come to appreciate the writing/humor of the show. I remember watching Liar Liar years and thinking how cool it would be to become a lawyer myself. That was obviously a long time ago. It was great to be able to watch the movie with fresh eyes and know which parts were realistic and which were not. I practiced in Los Angeles for a long time, so I recognized a lot of my old haunts including the office parks and courthouses. Surprisingly, I think the movie is funnier now having years of experience as an attorney. Stay tuned until next week when I release my reaction to the second half of the movie. I'm going to go in-depth into whether the prenup is void and whether the wife's fraud invalidates the entire marriage. Would you like me to react to another one? Let me know in the comments! This is part of a continuing series of "Lawyer Reaction" videos. Got a legal movie or TV show you'd like me to critique? Let me know in the comments! All clips used for fair use commentary, criticism, and educational purposes. See Hosseinzadeh v. Klein, 276 F.Supp.3d 34 (S.D.N.Y. 2017); Equals Three, LLC v. Jukin Media, Inc., 139 F. Real Doctor Reacts to THE RESIDENT | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

19:38
We are back with another installment of the "Doctor Reacts" series and this time I'm covering Fox's new show The Resident. I have not watched this show before but in reading your comments on the last few videos it seemed like this should be next up for the medical drama review series. Considering I was a resident doctor myself this time last year, I was really excited to react to this new tv drama. In your comments, many of you made it seem as this show would be more accurate than the last few I've done so I had my hopes set very very high on this hospital tv drama. Matt Czuchry does a great job of acting the part of an internal medicine resident but the writing leaves a little something to be desired (from the medical point of view at least). The main plotline of the show might have to develop a little more for me to fall in love with it. The medical accuracy is pretty good but again very very dramatic, which is not new to this type of series. I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches The Resident / Real Doctor Reacts to The Resident. If you want me to continue making this series please like the video and leave me a comment on which show or episode you'd like for me to review next. Love you all! Doctor Reacts To ER | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

First 100 people get $50 off their first two weeks of Blue Apron, here!: https://cook.ba/2NX1xom Sponsored by Blue Apron Let’s talk about a throwback classic, ER. This is the first medical show I’ve ever known about and watched. I remember being a youngin watching George Clooney and wondering what it would be like to actually be a doctor. Now I am a doctor so I’ve decided to share with you what I think about the pilot episode. We have to keep in mind this show is about 2 decades old and a lot has changed in the medical space but it is still incredibly accurate. I love the character development and writing in this show because it does feel authentic to what happens during hospital hours. I guess you can say that I am a fan and that ER is accurate! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches ER / Real Doctor Reacts to ER. Real Law Review: Kavanaugh v. Ford Hearing

23:47
I’ve been glued to the Kavanaugh/Ford hearings. Regardless of your political views, I think it raises important legal questions for our country. Welcome to Real Law Review. This is the first Real Law Review; a new series on this channel where I try to tackle the most important legal issues of the day. If you have suggestion for the next topic leave your comment below. And if you disagree, be sure to leave your comment in the form of an objection. But remember to make your comments Stella-appropriate. If you’d like to see me critique your favorite legal TV show or movie like Suits or Better Call Saul, check out my Real Layer Reacts series, https://goo.gl/42fKce ★ SUIT UP! Even if you're not a lawyer, you can still DRESS LIKE A LAWYER. All of my suits are from BlackLapel (I've used them exclusively for over five years). Their custom suits are amazing, yet still ridiculously affordable. HIGHLY recommended: https://go.magik.ly/ml/f78n/ ★ GET TIED! If you’re looking for skinny ties, pocket squares, or tie bars (like the ones I wear) check out Ties.com. Huge selection and great prices: https://go.magik.ly/ml/ftki/ There are four questions that I cover today: 1. Did Judge Kavanaugh commit perjury? 2. Did he display judge-like temperament? 3. Would Judge Kavanaugh prevent investigations into President Trump or the WH? 4. Would the current allegations of sexual assault hold up in court? 5. Should judge Kavanaugh have requested an investigation? BTW, I refer to “Judge Kavanaugh” and “Dr. Ford” because regardless of current allegations, both individuals have earned the right to be called “Judge” and “Doctor.” On a personal note, this is not meant to be a partisan analysis. I am not going to give my opinion on whether I think Judge Kavanaugh should be elevated to the supreme court based on his judicial philosophy or his political views. I’m a lawyer first, and that’s the perspective I try to give you. All clips used for fair use commentary, criticism, and educational purposes. See Hosseinzadeh v. Klein, 276 F.Supp.3d 34 (S.D.N.Y. 2017); Equals Three, LLC v. Jukin Media, Inc., 139 F. Supp. 3d 1094 (C.D. Cal. 2015). Real Lawyer Reacts to How to Get Away With Murder (Episode 1)

23:05
Annalise Keating is an unorthodox law professor. Instead of being a “good” law professor or actually “teaching” she makes her students unpaid interns for her criminal defense law firm. Drama! Mystery! Legal technicalities! Today we’re going to review How to Get Away With Murder. Stay until the end for my Legal Realism Grade! This one was a bear. It made me want to pull my hair out. This show is more soap opera than legal procedural. I’m glad I got through it, but I’m not sure I’m the same man as when i started. Does it get better over time? Would you like me to react to another one? Let me know in the comments! New episodes weekly! 3 Types of Suits: Off the Rack vs. Made to Measure vs. Bespoke

14:03
When you need a new suit, you have lots of different options these days. There are more brands to choose from than ever before. This is great, but it can be a little overwhelming. I want to help you choose the best option for your needs and budget. For the typical gentleman, here’s what I would suggest: First, try to find something that fits well off the rack. Assume it will need a little tailoring, as this is totally normal with suits. Set aside $50-100 for basic alterations, such as getting the pants hemmed, sleeves shortened and jacket taken in. If you can’t find anything that fits well enough off the rack, consider going custom. For most guys, this means made-to-measure. If money isn’t an issue - and/or you’re willing and able to invest in a great suit that you’ll wear for years - bespoke is definitely the way to go. Prioritize companies that have showrooms (or fit shops) near you. It’s much better to go get your measurements taken, in person and by a professional, than to submit your own measurements. If you can’t find a local option, it’s time to go the online MTM route. Of all the companies I’ve tried out, my experience has been with Oliver Wicks and Black Lapel. If I had to pick, I’d choose Oliver Wicks. But please understand that I’ve had a lot of time to dial in my measurements with them. Black Lapel did a great job on the first (and only) suit they made for me. #modestman #notsponsored #customsuits — SHOP THE VIDEO ▪ Polo Shirt → https://rstyle.me/n/c8uhp3n4v6 ▪ Suit Supply Suit → https://fave.co/2CwRgxI ▪ Oliver Wicks Suit→ https://fave.co/2NT0cyV ▪ Alan David Suit → https://www.alandavid.com — RELATED VIDEOS ▪ 5 Reasons to Buy a Custom Suit → https://youtu.be/4NnQxnAkesM ▪ Men's Style and Grooming Tricks → https://youtu.be/bdXRVgIaXfM — MY GEAR ▪ Canon T6i → http://geni.us/4kSX ▪ Laptop → http://fave.co/2hgKaDF ▪ Laptop stand → http://fave.co/2vQwBj3 ▪ Lens #1 (50mm) → http://geni.us/OiE9 ▪ Lens #2 (10-18mm) → http://geni.us/qgGQckE ▪ Lens #3 (24mm) → http://geni.us/x61A ▪ Lav mic → http://geni.us/ZBlvGh ▪ Desk mic → http://geni.us/wCdS7t2 — YOUTUBE MUSIC → https://goo.gl/UhwtMb — STYLE GUIDES ▪ Free E-Books → http://mdst.mn/guide-pack ▪ Premium Guide → http://mdst.mn/tmmsg — FOLLOW ME ▪ Podcast → http://fave.co/2vej94M ▪ Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/modestmanstyle/ ▪ Twitter → https://twitter.com/modestmanstyle ▪ Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/modestmanblog/ ▪ Private Group → https://www.facebook.com/groups/modestmen — Contains affiliate links // Stay stylish!

Real Lawyer Reacts to Better Call Saul (Episode 1)

Why do bad things happen to good lawyers? Before he was Saul Goodman he was Jimmy McGill -- but he was always a great lawyer. Today we’re going to review Better Call Saul. Stay until the end for my Legal Realism Grade! I loved Breaking Bad. And Saul Goodman was one of my favorite characters.
