SOUNDBITE (English) Ladan Bijani, conjoined twin: "We hope the surgery will be successful and we feel happy, excited and a little bit nervous, as we shall be." 18. Wide shot twins STORYLINE: Fighting back tears and reading from the Quran, dozens of mourners gathered in Singapore on Wednesday to pay their respects to the conjoined Iranian twins who died during unprecedented separation surgery on Tuesday. Local volunteers, including nurses and paramedics, carried the bodies of 29-year-old Laleh and Laden Bijani in separate coffins draped in black cloth to a Muslim school in Singapore where they were their bodies were prepared according to Islamic tradition. The Bijani twins were born with fused skulls and after a lifetime of compromises wanted separate lives, with separate careers, seeking out risky surgery in Singapore that went awry on Tuesday shortly after surgeons finished separating their heads. The twins' bodies were expected to be flown to Tehran early Thursday on a commercial flight, said Hasan al-Attas, a member of Singapore's Iranian community. The courage and optimism the twins showed as they went into surgery captured the hearts of people around the world and their deaths within 90 minutes of each other from blood loss on Tuesday triggered an outpouring of grief. Both knew the operation's high risks, but had pressed for surgery out of a deep desire to live separate, ordinary lives. Surgeons in Germany had earlier refused to carry out the procedure, saying it was too dangerous. Both were law graduates, but only Ladan, the more extroverted sister, wanted to become a lawyer. Laleh's love was journalism. Let's pray for the safe and immediate release of one of our workers who has been abducted in Iraq" 25. Labour Secretary Patricia Santo Tomas listening STORYLINE: Relatives and neighbours of Angelo de la Cruz, the Filipino national abducted in Iraq, prayed for his safe release on Friday. In his hometown of Buenavista, in Pampanga province, friends and family gathered in front of a crucifix, and pleaded tearfully for his return. De la Cruz's daughter Judith appealed to her father's captors. She said she last spoke with their father last Sunday, who called to say he was headed for Iraq. A video, broadcast by the Arab television station Al-Jazeera on Wednesday, showed three armed and masked men standing behind the seated hostage, threatening to kill him if the 51-member Philippine peacekeeping contingent isn't pull out within three days. Philippine authorities later identified him as Angelo de la Cruz, a 46-year old truck driver and a father of eight. He works for a Saudi Arabian company and was apparently seized near Fallujah, but no details on the abduction have been disclosed by officials. The gunmen said they killed the Iraqi security officer travelling with him. De la Cruz's family appealed to their President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to withdraw Filipino soldiers from Iraq so his life would be spared. Arroyo immediately ordered a halt to the sending of Filipino contract workers to Iraq but did not directly respond to the demand to pull out Manila's peacekeepers. The president on Friday urged Filipinos to pray together for the safe return of de la Cruz. In Manila, a small group of protesters gathered to demand that Arroyo withdraw the Filipino peacekeeping contingent in Iraq. The Philippines' special envoy to the Middle East, former military chief of staff Roy Cimatu, was in Baghdad on Friday. Arroyo said Cimatu was doing "what is humanly possible to secure the release of our national." Many Filipinos take the risk of driving from nearby countries into Iraq because their employers offer to triple their pay, Labour Secretary Patricia Santo Tomas said. Cop Kicks Black Man In Face In Brutal Video

06:03
"A Dover, Del., police officer who faced no criminal charges in 2013 for knocking a surrendering man unconscious with a jaw-breaking kick could face jail time, after all. In 2013, then-attorney general Beau Biden (Vice President Joe Biden’s son) failed to get a grand jury indictment against Cpl. Tom Webster for injuring Lateef Dickerson without cause. But a judge in a civil rights lawsuit recently ruled that a video of the event could be released publicly, and current Attorney General Matt Denn brought the case again, resulting in an indictment for second-degree assault Monday. In the aftermath of Ferguson, Mo., video evidence has played a decisive role in at least one case against a police officer accused of excessive force against black suspects. In North Charleston, S.C., police brought murder charges against the officer who shot a fleeing black man in the back and then appeared to plant evidence to suggest the man had been armed with a Taser. Officials admitted that no charges would have been brought if a bystander had not recorded the shooting." STORY LINE: Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan and hinges on the sighting of the moon. China's estimated 20 million Muslims are observing Eid with the majority of the world this year, while neighbouring India and Pakistan celebrates a day later. Around 6,000 Muslims, mostly of Hui and Uighur ethnicities, attended the Eid morning prayers at Beijing's largest mosque. Wei Chunjie, the deputy director of the Niujie mosque, says that the festival is the busiest time for the mosque each year. "We have completed one month of fasting. Everyone is very worn out and tired, but today we are very excited because we can clearly see that thousands of Muslims have gathered here at Beijing's oldest Niujie mosque to carry out the morning prayers under the leading of our imam. There's no need to mention how wonderful this is," With the main prayer hall accommodating only hundreds at the most, the mosque rolled out carpets for the overflow of believers in its courtyards, while police patrolled the streets outside. An Armenian woman kneeling beside a dead child in a field during the Armenian Genocide, conducted by the government of the Ottoman Empire. The genocide is conventionally held to have begun on 24 April 1915, when Ottoman authorities arrested and later executed some 250 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders. Much of the remaining Armenian population were deported into the deserts of Syria, where most died from starvation, exhaustion, and systematic massacres. The total number of people killed has been estimated at between 1 and 1.5 million. Though the events are widely recognized as a genocide by historians, the Turkish government rejects such a description.

Chicago Cops Posed With Rifles And A Black Man Wearing Antlers

05:29
It’s a racially charged photo the Chicago Police Department didn’t want the public to see: two white cops posing with rifles as they stand over a black man lying on his belly with deer antlers on his head. But a Cook County judge has refused to keep secret the shocking image of former Officers Timothy McDermott and Jerome Finnigan kneeling with what the police department says is an unidentified African-American drug suspect. Believed to have been taken in a West Side police station between 1999 and 2003, the Polaroid photo was given to the city by the feds in 2013 and resulted in McDermott, a clout-heavy cop, being fired last year by the police board in a 5-to-4 vote. The four dissenters said McDermott should only have been suspended. But a majority of the board wrote that “appearing to treat an African-American man not as a human being but as a hunted animal is disgraceful and shocks the conscience.” DOWNLOAD ADVISE SHOW MEDIA APP ON GOOGLE PLAY AND ITUNES Visit My Website:http://www.adviseshow.com DONATE 2 THE SHOW:http://www.adviseshow.com/donate-here/ SUB TO RATCHET VIDEO WEEKLY:http://goo.gl/cIFrl SUB TO ADVISE SHOW MEDIA http://youtube.com/c/AdviseShowMedia Join the 1 Million Fathers page:http://facebook.com/1MFathers Buy the Hoodrat shirt:http://goo.gl/R7ib1 Catch my weekly radio show:http://goo.gl/Cz8Ax Like me on Facebook:http://goo.gl/pjgnt Follow me on Twitter:http://goo.gl/zisOx Follow me on Instagram:http://instagram.com/adviseshowmedia Connect with me on MySpace:http://goo.gl/6MaIC Book me for your events:[email protected]

Depending on the event, athletes are required to shoot from standing, kneeling or prone positions. At Baku 2015, Shooting will see 210 men and 120 women set their sights on gold at the new Baku Shooting Centre. The competition will include nine men’s events, six women’s events and four mixed team events, with the Shooting action beginning on 16 June and finishing on 22 June 2015. In addition to winning a gold medal, the winner in each of the 15 individual Shooting events will automatically receive a quota place for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Wall Push Ups For Beginners | How To

00:55
WALL PUSH UPS are not only beneficial for a beginner but for all levels. They are excellent exercises for people who want to strengthen the chest, but have back problems. This is because they do not put stress on the spine. To do these push –ups, please follow the steps given below: Stand in front of a wall. Lift your arms to the shoulder level and place your palms against the wall. They should be wider than your shoulders. Your fingers must be pointing upwards. Move your feet a few feet away from the wall. Your elbows have to be bent, as you lean against the wall. Never arch your back during these exercises, as they can damage the spine, causing injury. Pull your stomach in and contract your buttocks during these exercises. This aids to support your upper body. Inhale before you begin the exercise and exhale as you push yourself away from the wall, until your arms are outstretched and the elbows slightly bent. Repeat this procedure 5-10 times. For more advanced levels of exercise, follow the guidelines given below: Using a slow pace, this is a rather advanced version of the exercise. Start the doing the Wall push-up at a slow pace. While you push off from the wall, count slowly until 4. Count slowly again until 4 as you came back to the starting position.
