What are 5 Words that describe ‘YOU’? What is your personal ‘Brand’? Stu Jay Raj and Wimintra

13:13
Tonight we are really pumped after coming home from a great seminar put on by the always energetic Tom Kruesopon. Tom challenged all of us to think of ‘who we are’ - because that’s ultimately our brand. More importantly - who we THINK we are. To do that, he asked us all to think of 5 words / adjectives that we believe summed up who we ourselves are. The room went silent and many struggled to think of 5 words. He then challenged us to ask someone we know to think of 5 words that in their opinion honestly describe who we are. His point being - if there is a disparity between what we think we are and what people see us as, then we might need to work on our own personal branding strategy. Gam and I took the challenge and in this clip, we reveal what we wrote about ourselves and what we wrote about each other. Try it! Tonight’s free seminar was the first in what looks like will be a permanent Thursday night thing put on for anyone who wants to attend at the McDonalds Learning Academy on the 6th floor of the Big C building opposite Central World in Bangkok. Really exciting to have such an amazing venue and amazing talent on tap there - I suspect that there will be many more great and inspiring nights ahead. Thanks Tom! I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions. If you would like to contact me, you can drop me an email via my website - http://stujay.com/contact

Gen Z: In Their Words

02:13
Lately, there’s been a lot of hype and swirl surrounding “Generation Z.” Brand advertisers and business gurus have dubbed this post-Millennial generation as the next bull’s eye to target on the consumer dartboard. At 2 billion strong worldwide, it’s easy to see why: Gen Z is every brand’s next most important customer. But who are they, really? How will they change how business is done? We asked them. For starters, they don’t see themselves as a “generation” at all. To them, they’re just them. Socially shrewd, tech-ified, inquisitive, precocious, caring, eloquent, intrepid, and unapologetically authentic. Equal parts skepticism of the past and optimism for the future, they are “a generation of problem solvers” who are “not happy or content with what has been going on in the past” and are “finding new ways to do old things.” In their world, change is constant. And normal. They’re always adapting, and they think businesses should, too. To them, companies (if they think about them at all) should practice “good citizenship,” be “more malleable,” more “able to constantly change.” And why shouldn’t they? After all, “the world around us is constantly changing.”

ENGLISH SLANG – 15 trendy fashion words

11:48
Learn new vocabulary about beauty and fashion. Just like fashion trends, the words we use in English to talk about makeup, clothing, hair, and style, change quickly. The words that are used today are not the same as five years ago. There is a whole world of beauty vloggers and fashion hauls on YouTube. If you’re into fashion, you’ll want to look en point when wearing items from your most recent haul. If makeup is your thing, you’ll be wearing a red lip or using a palette to get a smoky eye. You’ll be sporting balayage or ombre hair (don’t worry -- I’ll teach you how to pronounce those new French-origin words too!). Watch and never forget the boyfriends of Instagram. Then take the quiz at https://www.engvid.com/english-slang-15-trendy-fashion-words/ TRANSCRIPT Hi, everyone. In this lesson we're going to look at trendy fashion words. These are words that I'm hearing used a lot now around our times, so let's have a look through the words and learn them one-by-one so we can sound really cool and fashionable. Let's start with: "en pointe". If something is en pointe, it means perfect, it looks so good. What you're wearing today, that dress, your dress is en pointe. It's so fashionable, it's so, so hot right now. Very similar meaning to something being "on-trend". If we think about the word "trendy", it means fashionable. But to say something is trendy isn't fashionable enough anymore, we have to change it and say: "on-trend". We could also change it and say: "bang-on-trend". If it's bang-on-trend, it's even more now, happening right this minute. Next, if we're talking about makeup... When I was younger we used to talk about wearing lipstick or wearing red lipstick, or a pink lipstick, but now instead of saying the word "lipstick", it's described as: "I'm wearing a red lip today." And the same thing, instead of saying: "eye shadow", "Oh, I bought this eye shadow. It's blue. Look at it on my eyes", you don't say that because it doesn't... Doesn't sound... Doesn't sound fashionable enough, it doesn't sound like you know about makeup. So, what people who know about makeup say is they say: "Oh, today I'm wearing a smokey eye." I'm not wearing a smokey eye, I haven't got anything on, but a smokey eye is when the eye shadow looks grey or dark, and it's most often worn at night when you're going out. You get your eye shadow these days in "palettes". And instead of wearing just one eye shadow, like, wearing a pink eye shadow, the eye shadow palette comes with about... Well, as many as you want I suppose, but from 4 to 12 eye shadows, and what they do is they put on the different eye shadows from the palette. So, they will talk about creating the smokey eye from palette number three, or whatever. Next is a makeup term that's been around for a few years. This makeup term came from when the Kardashians got famous because the kind of makeup Kim Kardashian would use was a kind of makeup that shades her face to give it a certain... To make it look like there's more shadow on the face and a more dramatic kind of foundation, which is done with different brushes. It's a kind of makeup technique called "contouring". Apparently it comes... Apparently it's a makeup technique that's been around for ages, but before, drag queens used to use it, men who... Men who were still men, but dressed up as women mostly for performance and being in shows and things like that. So it originally comes from there. And I did experiment with contouring. I once watched a few too many YouTube videos, and it all went terribly wrong, so moving on from contouring. Next we have "drugstore makeup". In England we don't have drugstores, we have pharmacies where you go and buy your medicine, and you can buy toiletries, but we don't have drugstores. We have chains of drugstores, for example, Boots or Superdrug, and you can go in there and buy makeup, but we never call those places drugstores. Yet, when people talk about makeup now, the younger generation, they will... They will talk about buying drugstore makeup, which means the kind of makeup that only... Only costs you a few pounds to buy, it's not the really, really expensive makeup, and you can... You can buy it easily, close... Close... Close where you live. So, drugstore makeup is the kind of makeup you can do that doesn't cost you so much money as the really expensive brands. So that's an American term, but it's being used a lot here now in England. The next... The next two terms are about hair. These are newer fashionable techniques for dying your hair, and the two words come from French. In the English pronunciation we'd say: "balayage".
16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:29
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! Trademarks What Words Can't You Use on Amazon Merch???

17:50
Those of you guys who have been selling on Merch any amount of time have probably run into frustrations with either having a tee shirt rejected from being uploaded, or maybe even taken down for a policy violation strike due to Trademark Infringement and that's what were going to be talking about in today's video. Trademarks are a complicated topic and what makes it even more complicated is how Trademarks work in real life and/or how they are enforced in the court of law is completely different than how Amazon enforces them. And how Amazon enforces them is even different depending upon whether your selling via Amazon Merch or if your getting your tee shirts printed elsewhere, buying UPC codes and selling them through Amazon. Amazon tends to be a bit stricter on Merch sellers. Now in my experience basically if Trademarkia or USPTO returns even a single result for a word or term you search, it's really not safe to use on Amazon. This is where things get a bit complicated. Now technically in the real world Trademarks are meant to protect a brand so if you have a brand of cerial called Sugar Smacks, I can't make a brand called Sugar Smackers with a similar logo and font as I'm trying to confuse consumers. Alternatively however if we have products in completely different industries or for service businesses completely different areas of the country and there's no chance of confusion, then using the same or similar name might be okay. I guess the point I'm trying to make is you have to be a lot more careful on Amazon than you would need to be off of Amazon. A member of our own community @icarus was kind enough to send me a long detailed e-mail explaining Trademarks. He has two family members who are Trademark and Patent lawyers and he has also studied the topic himself extensively as well so he had a ton of great info to share and he did so in a way which was really relatable and easy to understand with examples. Please drop a comment thanking him for taking the time to do this. He also offered to give me a similar writeup to share on patenets if you guys are interested in hearing about that drop a comment and let me know. If you guys have any tips to share or any words you have found that you can't use on Amazon Merch please drop them below... ********************************** Business Inquiries, Sponsor a Video, or Just Wanna Say What's Up... 16:09
In this English pronunciation lesson, I'm going to show you how to pronounce some difficult words. These words are often pronounced incorrectly and are common mistakes that many English students make. This is because the combination of sounds is difficult, or because there are silent letters and syllables. I've chosen these words because they are common words and they are words that are often pronounced incorrectly by English learners. These words are: - vegetable - comfortable - almond and salmon - et cetera (etc.) - clothes - jewellery - architecture - enthusiastic - word, world & work - photograph Please note that the pronunciation of some of these words differs between English accents. I speak with an Australian English accent 🙂 Let's fix these pronunciation mistakes together so that you can speak English more clearly and confidently! #mmmEnglish #NaturalEnglishPronunciation #RealEnglish #SpeakingEnglish #IPA #EnglishPronunciation #EnglishTeacher #YouTubeTeacher Read the full transcript to this video on my blog: https://www.mmmenglish.com/2017/05/19/10-english-words-youre-probably-pronouncing-wrong-difficult-pronunciation-common-mistakes/ Get Grammarly Grammar Checker FREE! https://grammarly.go2cloud.org/SHp9 English Listening practice - Try Audible for FREE! http://www.audibletrial.com/mmmEnglish Improve your English pronunciation and speaking skills by practicing with the mmmEnglish Imitation Technique! Can I trademark dictionary words? | Trademark Factory® FAQ

02:30
Can I trademark dictionary words? Secure Your Brand with Trademark Factory® Risk-Free, Guaranteed. https://www.trademarkfactory.com And the answer to that question is, yes, as long as you are not trying to register as a trademark the words that describe what it is that you do. So Apple is a registered trademark, but Apple did not get the trademark for apples. They got their trademark for stuff related to computers. Same thing with Windows. Windows is a dictionary word, but they are not in the business of selling windows, they are in the business of selling software. Likewise, you can't trademark the word Chair if you’re selling chairs, but you can easily register the trademark Chair if you're selling apples. Just because the name is a dictionary word does not necessarily mean that you can’t trademark it. You have to be careful to make sure that the name does not describe, or doesn't point to the specific product or service that you’re using and trying to protect as a trademark. But just because it's found in a dictionary doesn't mean that it can't be trademarked. ----------------------------------- Trademark Factory® resources: ★ Website: https://trademarkfactory.com ★ ☆ YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/trademarkfactory.com ☆ ★ Facebook Page: https://facebook.com/thetrademarkfactory ★ ☆ Twitter: https://twitter.com/realTMfactory ☆ ★ Kick-Ass Brands Show: http://kickassbrandsshow.com ★ ☆ Kick-Ass Brands Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kickassbrands ☆

7 Words You MUST Pronounce Correctly - Sound Like a Native Speaker

11:30
Here are 7 of the most important English words that you MUST pronounce correctly if you want to sound like a native speaker. Also see - MOST COMMON MISTAKES IN ENGLISH & HOW TO AVOID THEM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Dax90QyXgI&list=PLmwr9polMHwsR35rD9spEhjFUFa7QblF9 This lesson will give you exercises to help you practice pronouncing these words in full sentences. This will help you to sound natural and more like a native speaker of English For more FREE English lessons, SUBSCRIBE to this channel. Transcript: Hello and welcome. In this lesson, I will teach you how to pronounce seven of the most important words in English correctly. And these are words that many people mispronounce. But I won’t just teach you how to say the words – that you can learn from any dictionary. I will show you how to pronounce all of these words correctly in full sentences. At the end of this lesson, there is an exercise to practice all of the words. Now when you hear a word, a phrase, or a sentence in this lesson, stop the video and practice saying what you hear. Alright, so let’s begin. Our first word is ‘the’. This word has two forms - /tha/, /thee/. This word has two forms. We say /tha / if the following sound is a consonant sound. The car. The car is expensive. We say /thee / if the following sound is a vowel sound. The elephant The elephant is huge. The banana He ate the banana. The apple She ate the apple. The umbrella Where’s the umbrella? The university Where’s the university? Why do we say /thee/ ‘umbrella’ but /tha/ ‘university’? Well, it’s because ‘umbrella’ starts with an ‘uh’ sound, which is a vowel sound. But ‘university’ starts with a ‘ya ’ sound. We don’t say ‘ooniversity’. We say ‘yooniversity’. ‘ya’ is not a vowel sound, it’s a consonant sound. Remember: it’s the sound that matters, not the letter. So ‘the umbrella’ and ‘the university’. Word number two - /And/ /en/. /And / is called the strong form – it’s how we pronounce the individual word by itself. But when we speak in full sentences, we don’t use the strong form. We use the weak form – /en/ - it sounds like the letter ‘n’, and there’s no /d/ sound at the end. Fish and chips We ate fish and chips in London. John and Jane John and Jane got married. Slow and steady Slow and steady wins the race. Number three - /To/, /tu/ /To / is the strong form. But in natural speech, we say /tu/ in sentences. going to Brazil Sam is going to Brazil. to see the doctor I was waiting to see the doctor. to play video games Kids love to play video games. Word number four - of. Notice that the last sound is like a ‘v’ sound - /av/. glass of water Could you get me a glass of water? lots of friends She has lots of friends. waste of time My son thinks homework is a waste of time. Word number five - /that/, /thet/ We say /that / when the word is used as a pronoun (meaning, in the place of another word) or as a determiner (that is to show what we’re talking about). That’s That’s our house. that watch How much is that watch? We say /thet / when the word is used as a conjunction, that is to connect two parts of a sentence, or as a relative pronoun (meaning, instead of ‘which’ or ‘who’ in a sentence) said that Jen said that she was moving to Canada. book that you gave me The book that you gave me is amazing! Number six - /for/, /fer/ /for / is the strong form. When we speak in sentences, we use the weak form – /fer/ for you I bought this necklace for you. for me Can you wait for me outside? for the first time I went bowling for the first time today. And finally, number seven is can, /cun/ I can I can play the guitar. You can You can call me anytime. Can I Can I have the check, please? Can you Can you see who’s at the door? OK, now that you’ve learned how to pronounce the seven words correctly, let’s now practice them in some more sentences. There are five sentences on the screen. Stop the video and try saying them correctly. Then play the video and check. OK, let’s practice them together. Number one: the ice cream and the ice cream the pizza the pizza and the ice cream Who’s bringing the pizza and the ice cream? Number two: to John to John tomorrow give this book to John tomorrow Can you Can you give this book to John tomorrow? Number three: of that story the end at the end of that story Tell me what happens at the end of that story Number four: the kids for the kids to bake a cake to bake a cake for the kids I can I can ask Mary I can ask Mary to bake a cake for the kids. Number five: that you that you sang yesterday the interesting song of the interesting song of the interesting song that you sang yesterday the name What’s the name What’s the name of the interesting song that you sang yesterday? Alright I hope you enjoyed this lesson. If you want more pronunciation lessons, let me know in the comments section below.

Don't miss new Big Think videos! Subscribe by clicking here: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Since Branson founded Virgin in 1970, the company has grown from a small record outlet to a global powerhouse. Can the brand continue its success without him? Question: What is your advice for entrepreneurs? Richard Branson:  I think the most important thing about running a company is to remember all the time what a company is.  A company is simply a group of people. And as a leader of people you have to be a great listener and you have to be a great motivator.  You have to be very good at praising and looking for the best in people.  People are no different from flowers.  If you water flowers they flourish, if you praise people they flourish. And that is a critical attribute of a leader. Question: What has been the most difficult part about running Virgin?Richard Branson:  There is a very thin dividing line between success and failure.  Most people who set off in business without financial backing they fail at some times in their lives. I've only just stayed at the right side of that dividing line.  For instance, just after...  You know we had a record company.  I was fed up flying on other people's airlines.  I felt that the experience of flying on other people's airlines was an unpleasant one and I decided to set up an airline.  Well our bank went into a complete panic attack and when I came back from doing the inaugural flight of Virgin Atlantic's very, very first flight from London to New York I came back to find the bank manager sitting on my doorstep and informing me that they were going to close Virgin down on the Monday and this was the Friday and that I had two days to effectively pay them off the monies that they'd loaned us and I remember pushing the bank manager out of my house, telling him he wasn't welcome, which is a dangerous thing to do to your bank manager and then spending the weekend ringing around the world to all of the distributors of our music asking if they could give us a temporary loan to get us through the following week, which they were good enough to do and by the end of the week we had changed banks and we actually managed to find a bank that was willing to lend us 30 times the overdraft facility that our bank had lent us and we managed to survive. And I think the moral of that story is actually don't think of your bank as somebody that you're beholden to.  I mean don't...  You know people just don't move from one bank to another.  Sometimes you need to be willing to step up and move your banks in the same way that you should step up and move your doctor on occasions and anyway, I learned from that lesson. Question: Can Virgin continue to be successful without you?Richard Branson: Virgin does work very well without me.  I mean I use myself to build the brand, to build the sort of three or four hundred companies around the world, but I also learned the art of delegation.  I have a fantastic team of people who run the Virgin companies, give them a lot of freedom to run the companies as if they were their own companies.  I give them the freedom to make mistakes and the Virgin brand is now maybe one of the top 20 brands in the world, well respected. And when my balloon bursts Virgin will continue to flourish. And maybe I add the icing on the cake on occasions, maybe they'll have to spend a bit more money on marketing, but fortunately Virgin is in a state where it can live on healthily without me. "I Am What I Am" poem...(words in the description)

02:57
"I Am What I Am" Made wise through eyes now open, "breath and death" have reason to rhyme when spoken. Everything comes clear to us awake, those who snooze shall surely lose whilst feeding on mere cake. Knowing what I'm sowing helps me grow my me, sleepers await reapers from death there is no flee. Knowledge is college for us "uneducated", self taught own thought is us emancipated. I have eyes so I'm wise to the prize this wise brings, beyond's my abscond from life's goldfish pond and the growth of my forever wings. My stupidity is seen by the blind? one sided divided they know not my mind yet at best they profess my brain's in my behind. They don't know they can't know they can't see that what they perceive ain't the real me, they suffer the burden of self believe. They can't compare though they try in their "living lie" and wow what a lie they live, they grab at whatever the deem to be clever whereas true knowledge they can never sieve. So here I am no cross roads in sight, straight ahead be their dread but for me it's insight. Unravelled I've travelled this road more than once, suffered and buffered all consequence. I've arisen I've fully matured from all fake and madness I have been cured. I'm now me I found me shook my own hand, met myself my true wealth? "I am my own brand". I'm alive my high five's aimed at me, the one I always wanted to be. I am cool I'm no fool I'm the best, took me 55 years to get this off my chest...(C)David Albert Yates 2018

Such a beautiful day The sun’s shining in a beautiful way gonna take a shower, brush my teeth and Life is ultimately meaningless ....Uhh (cough)... but I'll get out of the house Get on the road, top down, hands out Put on my favorite song and nod to the rhythm The planet’s being destroyed by your carbon emissions But I- I- , I’ll head to class try my best on every test til I pass and my grades are screaming in my face - Ayyyy 98 percent of what you learn is a waste. I get to hang out with all my friends My friends are the friendliest friends Can't think of a better way to spend my time Your brain is flawed and all your friends will die Nevermind! I’m alive in the greatest nation! So proud of- the exploitation of natives This graceful bird means freedom for all Tell that to the slaves and bald eagles aren't bald I can live in the moment, milk every second at any time you could get clinical depression But I'll just be happy, no matter what’s in store it’s quite genetic and we have no cure uhh- at least (CHORUS ) We are young not for long Life is fun It only goes downhill We gotta make the most of it, Make the most of it or you'll regret it We are young For now Life is fun for some people We gotta make the most of it, Make the most of it Good luck Woo! I got a brand new job today! Doin stuff that'll help the economy I'll save money and buy things at the store Banks can crash and capitalism is flawed And it’s all because of my hard work And the thousand advantages you lucked into at birth I put a lotta effort in my resume! Good thing you don't have a black person’s name I'm proud to be a functioning member of society Finally, I can be the citizen I dream to be part of the community, contribute with my tax What could possibly stop me? The shrinking middle class I’ve at least got a nice stable job Until it’s outsourced to china or replaced by a robot OH GOD- Well then I could relax a bit You'll be empty with nothing to distract from it But man I'm a passionate graduate I can be different and I have a career paths to pick from I could be a rapper or an animator if I'm lucky Neither of those will make you happy, trust me I'm able to choose what I pursue You're a slave to people born richer than you Then screw it, I'll keep going in then I'll party on the weekend and sing Thanks to autotune (CHORUS ) Life is a wonder You’ll never know the answer Nature is a miracle Natural disasters It’s good to be alive You could wake up with cancer But I'm healthy Healthy people still get cancer I love this show It’s the last episode The sun is shining It’s going to explode Every species is beautiful and unique though Children have malaria thanks to mosquitoes I met a cute girl with a ponytail Statistically that relationship is going to fail I have a wonderful family, it’s like no other You're not special and one day you'll bury your mother No matter what I can find a home! We. Will. All. Die. Alone. There’s amazing potential in every human on earth There’s no escaping the heat death of the universe I don't have to live life based on negative parts No matter how bad they are, they're just thoughts Yeah that’s fair wait really? yeah that seems reasonable wait-wait-wait-wait but you were just telling me whatever man, I dunno, live your life how you want, I'm not forcing you to do anything, I'm just saying. Oh...Well in that case... (CHORUS )

20161011 Meetup The Branding Magic of Story & Powerful Words with Art Mahoney

00:40
Most small businesses – indeed most businesses across the board – do not know what branding or a brand is. Nor why it’s important to the start and growth of their business. Fear not, Art Mahoney is coming to Station 2 Innovation to clear up misconceptions and add his expertise and experience to this oft-misunderstood concept. Branding is the expression of the essential truth or value of an organization, product, or service. It is communication of characteristics, values, and attributes that clarify what this particular brand is and is not. Branding is as vital to the success of a business or nonprofit as having a clear financial plan, having a vision for the future, or having qualified, quality employees. Further, many businessmen confuse branding and marketing. Art will explain the significant difference, show why proper brand development is critical to short and long term business success and show the proper protocol for developing a brand position. Art Mahoney is the Special Projects Manager & Build-A-Business Program Instructor for Suncoast Community Capital. He has a broad background in the fields of marketing and business development and was president of a company – Morey Mahoney Advertising – that was voted ‘Best Strategic Marketing Company’ and one of the ‘Top 5’ marketing agencies in the Denver market, helping to build the agency from $300,000 annual billings to over $25 million! He also owned seven other small businesses over the years, including Clarke Advertising in Sarasota and has performed real estate feasibility studies with Michael Saunders in the Dominican Republic. For close to eight years, Art had been a Certified Business Analyst with the Small Business Development Center at State College of Florida before moving to Suncoast Community Capital.
