This video will show you how to set up your paper following correct APA Style guidelines in Microsoft Word 2010 for PC. This specific video focuses on using parenthetical and in-text citations, quotations, and how to properly credit authors to avoid plagiarism. The steps should be very similar on every version of Word since 2007 for PC. On Word for Mac, I believe the steps are the same, but the interface is different. 07:38

This video explains how to format and coordinate your APA in-text citations with your APA reference citations in the context of a discussion board post. But the same principles for using APA in-text citations applies to anything that you write which cites sources: DB posts, APA research papers, APA PowerPoints, and so on. But don't worry. There are simple, easy-to-understand tips and tricks for in-text citations that will have you citing perfectly in just a few minutes. In-text citations--the easy way! How to cite a magazine article in APA style

01:39
Visit http://www.termpapergurus.com to buy essays from professional writers! Hello and welcome to the video reference series presented by termpapergurus.com. In this lecture, we will discuss how to cite an article presented in a magazine in APA style. As usual, the citation starts with the last name of the author first, and is then followed by the initial of the first name and then the initial of the middle name. The year that the article was published in is enclosed in brackets included by the month and day if they are available. This is followed by the name of the article you have included. Then, you include the italicized title of the magazine. Then you include the volume number in italicized font. Finally, you put in the page numbers which AREN'T italicized! Here is an example of this citation. Notice how the page number is not a single number but a range. This is where the article starts and end. You can see how the magazine title and volume number is italicized. This is it for today. As always a copy of the citation is included in the description and you can copy off from it if its urgent. Take care! And, thank you for visiting our videos! Sample Citation in video: Last name, First initial. Middle initial. (Year, Month Day). Article title. Magazine Title, Volume, pages. Mehta, P. B. (1998, June 6). Exploding myths. New Republic, 290, 17-19.

How to cite a journal article found online in APA format.. Simple method

04:04
APA format for a journal article found online Author, A.A.. (Publication Year). Article title. Periodical Title, Volume(Issue), pp.-pp. doi:XX.XXXXX or Retrieved from journal URL Notes: When creating your online journal article citation, keep in mind: APA does NOT require you to include the date of access/retrieval date or database information for electronic sources. You can use the URL of the journal homepage if there is no DOI assigned and the reference was retrieved online. Example: Retrieved from http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1111/(ISSN)1467-8535;jsessionid=956132F3DE76EEB120577E99EE74CE9C.f04t01 A DOI (digital object identifier) is an assigned number that helps link content to it’s location on the Internet. It is therefore important, if one is provided, to use it when creating a citation. All DOI numbers begin with a 10 and are separated by a slash. about APA style : APA (American Psychological Association) style is most frequently used within the social sciences, in order to cite various sources.
