Drawing supplies I use in my Fashion Tutorials

10:32
This video I made for all of you who asked me about the tools I use in my drawings. If you LIKE it, i would be very happy:) Enjoy! FAQ: 1. What materials do you use for your drawings? ****************************************************** I use Toison d'Or or Koh-I-Noor pencils ( from 4B to 8B), Copic markers, Derwent coloured pencils and charcoal, Canson paper or Fabriano paper, Factis eraser, metal pencil sharper and Winsor and Newton watercolors and ink. 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? ****************************************************** Yes, I studied design and fashion design ( for 4 years) at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj, Romania, Europe. I had a scholarship in Katowice, Poland and another one in Coburg, Germany and a course attended with Gary Tu - a well-known fashion illustrator from Taipei, Taiwan. 3.Where do you get your inspiration? ****************************************************** Basically I am very interested in any image and text that could grab my attention: fashion albums, history of art, books I read, movies I see...In fact, i will share below all my sources of inspiration. Find all my inspirational folders here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/397137153755499/photos/ 4. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? ****************************************************** Definitely I would recommend Gottfried Bammes' Anatomy, Barcsay's Anatomy and David Downton's illustrations that you will find here: http://www.daviddownton.com/ and here: http://instagram.com/daviddownton 5. How long have you been drawing? ****************************************************** 30 years ago some desperate parents interdicted their 3 years old child to use pencils to draw on their house's inner walls :). Due to this, and to the fact that all pencils, brushes and markers were forbidden, the child found another way to express: all chocolate received was hidden and used to "decorate" the walls when all other tools were not available.30 years later, here I am, willing to tell a story on every wall there is. Not with chocolate, like I used to :), but in watercolors, as you can find on my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bijuterra. Thank you, and hope to enjoy my illustrations and videos from your comfortable armchair, having a cup of warm milk in your hand and smiling. 6. How can I send my drawing to you? ****************************************************** For any personal advice you can send me your illustrations or questions here: [email protected] and I will reply. Thank you! 7. FIND ME HERE: ****************************************************** My site: http://fashion-teaching.com/ My Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhid8TTsFQ4&feature=g-upl My FB: https://www.facebook.com/fashionillustrationforsale My pinterest: http://pinterest.com/isandru/ My stumble upon: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/isandru 8. I should find a solution in the future so I can get started on the long list of request :) If you're reading this, then be informed that I will be holding a contest this year. I am at the stage of purchasing the prizes, so I shall make the video soon. I hope you enter :) Copic Colours:: skin: E50, E51, E02, E43, E53 hair: YR31, Y28, E43, Y11, YR23 dress: BG34, BG23, BG15, BG05, BG10, B05, B24 cloak: W-1, W-3, W-5, Y21 STYLEHAUL http://www.youtube.com/user... http://stylehaul.com/ TUMBLR: http://lovetheart-fashion.tumblr.com BLOG: http://lovetheart-fashion.blogspot.com DEVIANTART: http://zyrabanez.deviantart.com INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/zyrarrr TWITTER: https://twitter.com/zyrabanez FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zyra-Ba%C3%B1ez/398602333574526?ref=hl FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions] 1. What materials do you use for your drawings? I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencils and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? No. I am taking Studio Arts in senior high school right now. It's not from that class that I learned what I know. I am learning new things from the class, but so far, not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I go to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art. 3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates? I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on YouTube and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. 4. How old are you? I am now 18 years old 5. How long have you been drawing? I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. That's probably my oldest memory of me drawing. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14. 6. Where do you get your inspiration? I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something I like. I am currently in an Artist's Block which has been going on since late October 2011, and I am finding ways to get out of it. I'll keep you posted on how I break through it :] 7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced. http://www.monkeysee.com/play/5156-how-to-draw-clothes-on-a-fashion-figure this is a very basic tutorial but seriously, this tutorial helped me when I was just starting. Hopefully it helps you too. http://www.fsketcher.com/index.php/tutorials/clothing/coloring.html This was a newly found website that I heard about from 555000rocky http://youtube.com/555000rocky Hope this helped :] MUSIC: Snowing by Peter Rudenko NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED

Male Fashion Illustration - My Complete Narrated Process (Part 2)

Should I create a facebook like page or a group? Hi to those reading this! I've been getting heaps of random friend requests and I don't know if it's from the link in here, but I don't want to accept random friend requests cause you never really know who they are. Also I wanted a way for people to share drawings and things, whether they want me to see it or for other people as well. So I'm like should I or should I not? Hmm.. Materials and Media: A4 Quill White Multiboard 210gsm Copic Ciao markers Faber-Castell 48 Classic Colour pencils Pilot G-TEC-C3 0.4mm black Pentel Techniclick 0.5 mechanical pencil Pentel Ain HB 0.5 lead Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space eraser TUMBLR: http://lovetheart-fashion.tumblr.com BLOG: http://lovetheart-fashion.blogspot.com DEVIANTART: http://zyrabanez.deviantart.com INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/zyrarrr TWITTER: https://twitter.com/zyrabanez FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/zyra.banez FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions] 1. I am now 17 years old 5.
