Lady Gaga Goes MAKEUP FREE On New York Times Cover & Talks Shape-Shifting Career

01:40
More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews I think it’s safe to say that Gaga has truly mastered the art of shape-shifting. Have you SEEN her New York Times Magazine cover? Iconic. Okay, so before we do a deep dive into everything Lady Gaga said about her evolving career in her latest interview, can we just really quickly talk about how INCREDIBLE Gaga looks on the cover of the New York Times Magazine? The cover photo as well as other shots from the photoshoot show a semi-bare faced Gaga up close and personal with some very interesting filters. But the foggy glass and watery effects definitely didn’t stop Gaga’s beauty from shining on through. Anyway, aside from looking GORGEOUS in her photos, Gaga opened up in a lengthy interview with the magazine about her shape-shifting career. As you all know, Gaga started off as an entertainer who was able to seamlessly transform into all these different characters throughout her career. Now that she’s making her foray into the acting world, Gaga’s putting her entertaining skills to the test. But like, it’s not hard for her at all because she’s such a natural at it. Gaga said QUOTE, “I have a nerve inside of me to do this. I do keep transforming into a new shell of me. So sure, there is an acting component to what I do, or a showbiz component to what I do. But the word ‘acting,’ it’s hard for me to talk about in that way, because ‘acting’ to me almost implies faking it.” And when Gaga was asked what we can all expect from her next phase all she said was QUOTE, “I’m just shape-shifting again.” Ah, the words of a true performer. So, what did you guys think of Gaga’s New York Times Magazine cover and her comment about being a shape-shifter? Let me know all your thoughts on that in the comment section below. Taylor Swift On New York Times Magazine Cover - How Does She Look?

01:51
http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Taylor Swift is a full-fledged fashionista. We've got a look at her latest pics from the New York Times Style Magazine-you won't wanna miss this-keep watching. Hi style lovers-I'm Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV-with more scoop on Taylor Swift. This young lady is talented, sweet, and as shown by her New York TImes Style Magazine pics-if the whole singing thing doesn't work out-she could easily have a career in the world of high fashion. The shoot shows off Taylor in a variety of funky, yet girly looks. She is totally pulling off the bright red lips, blue eye shadow, and fun hair bows. It's also interesting to see Swift with straight hair-since her signature look is curly. And of course everyone is loving the article that's attached to these pictures. Tay talks about her upcoming movie, how Leanne Rimes influenced her, and her love of music. She also tells a fun story about how her parents realized she had a gift for music after taking her to see "The Little Mermaid." On the way home from the movie theater, little Taylor sat in the back seat singing all the words to the songs. Her parents were completely baffled since their daughter had only seen the film once and yet somehow she still remembered all the words. This cover is yet another milestone for Taylor Swift. She's had quite the magical year-sweeping the CMAs and AMAs. She's also nominated for several Grammy's and then she's allegedly dating one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood-Taylor Lautner. How could life possibly get any better for Swift???? Hit the comments section to let us know how much your loving Taylor's stylish shots! And thanks for hanging out with us right here at ClevverTV-I'm Joslyn Davis-see you next time!

The project was made possible with the support of the Pulitzer Center. Please join us on Monday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m. for presentations by Nathaniel and George followed by a panel discussion with the Pulitzer Center’s Executive Director, Jon Sawyer, and moderated by Dr. Anthony Leiserowitz, Director of the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication.

Hey New York Times: The Left BURIES The Right On YouTube

We are the one who shall not be named. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. Like the shirt Cenk’s wearing? Get one at http://shoptyt.com "In June, Zack Exley, a political organizer and a fellow at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, published a report on “Black Pigeon Speaks,” a political commentator on YouTube. In Exley’s judgment, B.P.S. is emblematic of a marginal but ascendant sort of YouTube figure — a type that is becoming a meaningful force in the practice of politics online. B.P.S. has, by any objective standard, a significant and engaged audience; at the moment, he has about 215,000 followers, and his uploads have been viewed more than 25 million times. In an introductory video, he describes himself as something like a pundit or an analyst: “I attempt to make sense out of the increasingly nonsensical world we all share,” he says of his channel. “I try and be only as offensive as I need to be.” His videos are unhurried, heavy on explanation and argument, regularly stretching over the 10-minute mark. And, as Exley notes, his politics skew right. Hard right…”* Read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/03/magazine/for-the-new-far-right-youtube-has-become-the-new-talk-radio.html Hosts: Cenk Uygur Cast: Cenk Uygur *** The Largest Online News Show in the World. Jonah Lehrer Discusses his New York Times Magazine Story on Cities as Complex Systems

03:07
Jonah Lehrer's Bio and Speech Topics: http://www.thelavinagency.com/speaker-jonah-lehrer.html Cities and corporations are both organizations of people. Yet, as cities get bigger, they become more likely to endure. Not so with corporations. In this Lavin interview, Jonah Lehrer, drawing on the work of theoretical physicist Geoffrey West, discusses the perils of corporate growth - what happens when a company, like Boeing, becomes a complex system too quickly. Lehrer is the author of the New York Times bestseller How We Decide and Imagine, an upcoming book on creativity. For speaking engagements, Jonah Lehrer is exclusively represented by The Lavin Agency. Abby Ellin, "Duped"

53:58
Abby Ellin discusses her book, "Duped", at Politics and Prose on 1/17/19. When Ellin was swept off her feet by a man who called himself The Commander and regaled her with incredible stories of international espionage, the Pentagon, and Osama bin Laden, it took her awhile to realize that something was wrong. Then when she wrote about her experience in a Psychology Today cover story, she got another surprise: she wasn’t the only to have fallen for a persuasive liar. Many people—mainly women—have been similarly conned, primarily by men. In this fascinating study of double-lives, Ellin, an award-wining journalist and former New York Times “Preludes” columnist, explores the psychology of both perpetrators and victims, looks at how lies work, why people believe them, and what all this tells us about human nature. https://www.politics-prose.com/book/9781610398008 Abby Ellin is an award-winning journalist and the author of Teenage Waistland: A Former Fat Kid Weighs In On Living Large, Losing Weight and How Parents Can (and Can't) Help. For five years she wrote the "Preludes" column about young people and money for the Sunday Money and Business section of the New York Times. She is also a regular contributor to the Health, Style, Business and Education sections of the New York Times. Her work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, New York, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Psychology Today, Time, Newsweek, the Village Voice, the Boston Phoenix, Salon, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Spy (RIP). She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a Masters in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University. As of this writing, her greatest accomplishments are summiting Kilimanjaro (with a broken wrist!) and naming "Karamel Sutra" ice cream for Ben and Jerry's. Founded by Carla Cohen and Barbara Meade in 1984, Politics and Prose Bookstore is Washington, D.C.'s premier independent bookstore and cultural hub, a gathering place for people interested in reading and discussing books. Politics and Prose offers superior service, unusual book choices, and a haven for book lovers in the store and online. Visit them on the web at http://www.politics-prose.com/ Produced by Tom Warren

Eva Moskowitz on Fighting Unions, Politicians, and The New York Times

13:36
An in-depth interview with school choice pioneer Eva Moskowitz, who's the founder of New York City's Success Academy charter school network. Reason TV is the video journalism platform of the libertarian politics and culture magazine, Reason. Subscribe on YouTube: https://goo.gl/yiuhEE Success Academy in New York City is the nation's most celebrated—and controversial—charter school network, where the kids beat the rest of the city on the annual standardized English and math exams by an enormous margin. Its founder and CEO is Eva Moskowitz, a former City Council member who sank her own political career back in 2003 by speaking out about how unions stifle schools. So she left politics, and in 2006 started a charter school. A decade later, Success has grown into a network of 34 schools serving 11,000 kids, and it’s often hailed as a shining example of what the school choice movement can achieve at its very best. This month, Moskowitz received the 2016 Savas Award for Public Private Partnerships, from the Reason Foundation, the nonprofit that publishes Reason magazine and Reason TV. At that event, we sat down with Moskowitz for an interview. The discussion touched on the barrage of negative stories in the press on Success in the past year, including a video of a first-grade teacher berating a child that was published on The New York Times website, and the revelation that a Success Academy principal maintained a secret “got-to-go” list, naming 16 kids with behavioral problems that his staff should encourage to leave the school. We also discussed Moskowitz’ recent ideological evolution from liberal to somewhat libertarian. About 14 minutes. Produced and edited by Jim Epstein, who also conducted the interview. Interview cameras by Meredith Bragg and Izzy Skenazy.
