Oracle GREATEST Function

02:43
https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-greatest/ The Oracle GREATEST function is a useful function, but I don’t think it’s very well understood. It returns the greatest or largest value in a set of values. You can provide the values, and use numbers or text values. The syntax for the Oracle GREATEST function is: GREATEST(expr1 [, expr_n]) The expr1 is the first expression to use for your comparison. Expr_n is one or more expressions to use in the comparison, separated by commas. This is optional. So how is GREATEST calculated? If the parameters are numeric, the GREATEST function finds the largest number. If the parameters are characters, the function finds the latest value if they were sorted alphabetically (using their character values). What data type is returned? It depends on the parameters you provide. It could be the same as the parameters you provide, or VARCHAR2 if the parameters are all characters. You can also use the GREATEST function with dates. It’s also the opposite of the LEAST function. For more information on the GREATEST function, including the SQL used in this video and the examples, read the related post here: https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-greatest/

Oracle REPLACE Function

03:55
https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-replace/ The Oracle REPLACE function is a string manipulation function that allows you to replace one text string with another. It can be a whole word or sentence, or even a single value. The syntax of the REPLACE function is: REPLACE ( whole_string, string_to_replace, [replacement_string]) To use this function, the parameters are: - whole_string (mandatory): This is the string that will be checked for the characters to be replaced. - string_to_replace (mandatory): This is the string that will be searched for within whole_string. - replacement_string (optional): This is the string that will be used to replace occurrences of string_to_replace. Because the last parameter is optional, if it is not specified, then the Oracle REPLACE function removes all occurrences of string_to_replace. You can replace carriage returns with REPLACE, but you’ll need to use the CHR function. You can replace NULL values in Oracle, but this is best done with another function such as NVL, rather than REPLACE. If you want to replace multiple characters, you can do this using nested REPLACE functions or a REGEXP_REPLACE function. For more information about the Oracle REPLACE function, including all of the SQL shown in this video and the examples, read the related article here: https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-replace/

Oracle MONTHS_BETWEEN Function

02:17
https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-months_between/ The Oracle MONTHS_BETWEEN function allows you to find the number of months between two dates. You can enter two dates and the function returns the difference. This function is often used as part of other calculations. Sometimes you’ll want to know the difference between two dates to perform other functions. The syntax of the MONTHS_BETWEEN function is: MONTHS_BETWEEN(date1, date2) What do these two parameters mean? The function performs date1 minus date2. So, if date1 is larger, the result is positive. If date2 is larger, then the result is negative. What data type is returned? It depends on the values you provide. If the dates are both on the same day of the month (e.g. both on the 10th of the month), then the result is an integer or whole number. If not, then the result will be a decimal value. For more information on the MONTHS_BETWEEN function, including the code used in this video and examples, read the related article here: https://www.databasestar.com/oracle-months_between/

MySQL 27 - TEXT, TINYTEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LONGTEXT

03:42
The TEXT data types have not yet been discussed, but they are another string data type. They are similar to the VARCHAR data type with some minor differences that are important to know. The first thing to note is that there are four versions used to determine different sizes. From least to greatest size is TINYTEXT, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LARGETEXT. These each have different maximum byte sizes: 255, 65535, 16 million something, and 4 billion something. You create a column as one of these data types just as you would with a varchar column. You work with them exactly the same, too. If that is the case, what are the primary differences between these and VARCHAR? The first difference is that VARCHAR is restricted by the row limit of a table. TEXT tables do not contribute nearly as much (max of 12 bytes) because the data is not stored inline in the table. This means that if you need to allow for extra space for other rows, you can use a TEXT column. And even though the table only contains a pointer to the data, it is all hidden to us and working with a TEXT column is the same as working with a VARCHAR column. The second primary difference is that TEXT data types do not allow for a default other than NULL. Thirdly, VARCHAR is limited to just under 64KB, whereas you can use MEDIUMTEXT or LARGETEXT to allow for more storage. So if what you are trying to store as an individual value is over 64KB, use a text column. Other than those three things, VARCHAR will usually work just fine for our text needs. Now, last thing is that these data types are often called CLOB data types. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support me! http://www.patreon.com/calebcurry Subscribe to my newsletter: http://bit.ly/JoinCCNewsletter Donate!: http://bit.ly/DonateCTVM2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Additional Links~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More content: http://CalebCurry.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CalebTheVideoMaker Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CalebTheVideoMaker2 Twitter: http://twitter.com/calebCurry Amazing Web Hosting - http://bit.ly/ccbluehost (The best web hosting for a cheap price!)

EVE Online - Null isn't impossible (Coercer ratting)

05:38
Music used is "Crystallize," by Lindsey Stirling. FAQs; Q: What happened when your armor shot down to 60%? A: The Sansha's Slave Lord which was firing at me just so happened to shoot while my radial velocity in comparison to him was low. This resulted in a near-perfect hit which caused me to take a lot of damage. If you want to prevent this, then manually maneuver your ship as opposed to simply orbiting your target, though it shouldn't be necessary (I tanked it just fine). Q: What's your fit? (It didn't stay on screen for very long) A: 8x dual light pulse lasers 1x 1MN afterburner 2x Heat Sink 1x Small armor repairer 1x Capacitor power relay 3x Small capacitor control circuit In all honesty, you could probably make do with less capacitor stuff; either change the capacitor power relay into a third heat sink or tracking enhancer, or change 1-2 of the rigs into damage/tracking rigs. However, if your skills are low, having a good cap buffer is a plus. Q: Where are you, and would this work in other regions? A: I'm in space with Sansha rats, so EM/thermal damage is good, which happens to be what the Coercer is good at. It would probably also work in Blood Raiders space, where the rats are weak to the same damage type. I probably wouldn't recommend this for other NPCs, which are resistant to that damage type; however, the other destroyers are all viable for this as well. For Serpentis/Guristas space, use hybrids (the Catalyst or Cormorant) or a Thrasher using Phased Plasma ammunition. For Angel space, the best destroyer is really only the Thrasher using Fusion ammo, given that it's the only one to reliably deal explosive damage. Q: How much skill training would this require? A: Bare bones, you could fly destroyers in 4 days or so. If you're also including getting the relevant skills to 4 (Destroyers IV, gunnery skills to IV, cap skills to IV) it would probably be about 2.5 weeks? Q: What other PvE activities can this be used for? A: It will probably also work for low to mid level missions (L1s and L2s, *maybe* L3s?). I would not recommend it for cosmic anomalies or deadspace complexes - at least not solo - because of a large number of cruisers and frigates which will ruin your day. Q: What's the DPS of your fit? A: 250 with t1 multifrequency. If you drop the capacitor power relay for a third heat sink, that goes up to 290 (as much as a Drake shooting EM missiles), and if you use imperial navy multifrequency that hits around ~320. With decent skills, you should be able to break the tank of any Sansha rat, and can probably kill most of them even with low support skills. Q: How are you tanking battleships in a destroyer? A: By using the afterburner to keep your speed up, you can greatly reduce the damage that enemy battleships and cruisers will deal to you - this is due to the way weapons in EVE work. Essentially, if a turret is firing at you, you will take more damage if you are going slowly than if you are going fast. This alone won't save you, though; you also need to travel at an angle in relation to the opponent, as opposed to straight on. This essentially means that you're barely going to get hit, so what little damage you do take can be comfortably soaked up by the repper. As you saw, my actual tank really isn't very good - at the 3:20 mark, I accidentally took a direct hit, and my armor was brought down to 60% with a single shot. This is why you keep moving, and always watch the angles so that you try not to let yourself fly in a straight line compared to something else. Edit - Added tips, courtesy of ZaiRoX on Reddit: Find an empty null. Systems without npc stations are usually less populated. Use a "travel" fit between highsec and null. It should have some buffertank and a couple WCS. Just pick your refit station carefully!. Make a insta-undock bm if you can. While travelling. Check your map for ship destroyed/podkills along your route. Every gatecamp will kill you... Bring a secure container. You get more cargospace and get the benefit of keeping the loot locked at a safespot (requires anchoring lvl 1). This is important to minimize your losses. Also the fit is very dependent on speedtanking. You'll die instantly if you crash into an asteroid. Manual flying is a must.

Optional - The Mother of All Bikesheds by Stuart Marks

It is a single class with less than 20 methods, but it turns out to have been one of the most controversial and most misunderstood APIs, having generated several "centithreads" of discussion on OpenJDK mailing lists. Indeed, Brian Goetz (Oracle's Java Language and Libraries Architect) has mentioned that one aspect of Optional was his biggest mistake in Java 8. Optional is also one of the more widely misused APIs. A brief survey of OpenJDK code revealed several embarrassing examples of Optional usage, and expert Java programmers have admitted to not making the most of this API. This session covers the history and rationale of Optional, provides recommendations and examples of proper and effective usage, shows several antipatterns and code smells and how to fix them, and finally describes some current and proposed work on Optional for Java 9. How to Detect Soft Corruption in Oracle 12c Database

18:19
Detection of Soft Corruption in 12c: To use the scripts below replace : , ",# and $ by proper bracket Lets Create a tablespace and small table. SQL: create tablespace DEMO1 datafile '/u02/tstdb1/TSTDB1/datafile/demo01.dbf' size 50M SQL: create table objects tablespace DEMO1 as select * from dba_objects; SQL: alter table objects add constraint pk_obj primary key #object_id$; SQL: create index idx_obj_name on objects#object_name$ tablespace demo1; Backup tablespace. RMAN: backup tablespace DEMO1; We need to put the DB in archivelog first Rebuild index with NOLOGGING option to simulate soft corruption later. RMAN: alter index idx_obj_name rebuild nologging; Confirm that we have datafiles that require backup because they have been affected with NOLOGGING operation. RMAN: report unrecoverable; Simulate corruption. RMAN: alter database datafile 5 offline; RMAN: restore datafile 5; RMAN: recover datafile 5; RMAN: alter database datafile 5 online; Query table with corrupted index and notice error. SQL: select count#*$ from objects where object_name like 'A%'; Let’s perform validation of datafile to check block corruption. RMAN: backup validate check logical datafile 5; Notice that we have 457 blocks marked corrupt but v$database_block_corruption view is empty. SQL: select count#*$ from v$database_block_corruption; Let’s query v$nonlogged_block view. set lines 200 set pages 999 select file#, block#, blocks,object#,reason from v$nonlogged_block; Will RMAN detect that we have corrupted blocks? RMAN: backup datafile 5; RMAN backup won’t fail due to NOLOGGING corrupt blocks and our backup will contain soft corrupted blocks. Let’s Identify corrupt segments using v$nonlogged_block view. set lines 2000 set pages 9999 col owner for a20 col partition_name for a10 col segment_name for a20 SELECT e.owner, e.segment_type, e.segment_name, e.partition_name, c.file# , greatest#e.block_id, c.block#$ corr_start_block# , least#e.block_id+e.blocks-1, c.block#+c.blocks-1$ corr_end_block# , least#e.block_id+e.blocks-1, c.block#+c.blocks-1$ - greatest#e.block_id, c.block#$ + 1 blocks_corrupted FROM dba_extents e, V$NONLOGGED_BLOCK c WHERE e.file_id = c.file# AND e.block_id "= c.block# + c.blocks - 1 AND e.block_id + e.blocks - 1 := c.block# UNION SELECT s.owner, s.segment_type, s.segment_name, s.partition_name, c.file# , header_block corr_start_block# , header_block corr_end_block# , 1 blocks_corrupted FROM dba_segments s, V$NONLOGGED_BLOCK c WHERE s.header_file = c.file# AND s.header_block between c.block# and c.block# + c.blocks - 1 UNION SELECT null owner, null segment_type, null segment_name, null partition_name, c.file# , greatest#f.block_id, c.block#$ corr_start_block# , least#f.block_id+f.blocks-1, c.block#+c.blocks-1$ corr_end_block# , least#f.block_id+f.blocks-1, c.block#+c.blocks-1$ - greatest#f.block_id, c.block#$ + 1 blocks_corrupted FROM dba_free_space f, V$NONLOGGED_BLOCK c WHERE f.file_id = c.file# AND f.block_id "= c.block# + c.blocks - 1 AND f.block_id + f.blocks - 1 := c.block# order by file#, corr_start_block# / This is the best outcome to get if you notice corruption errors. All errors are related to index corruption so we could fix this problem rebuilding index. alter index idx_obj_name rebuild; Simply issuing "alter index rebuild" command won't work. We should mark index unusable to drop segment before rebuilding it or just rebuild index with online option. It is better choice to mark index unusable because you don't need additional space then, but I will simply rebuild index with online option and see what will happen. SQL: alter index idx_obj_name rebuild online; Index altered. SQL: select count#*$ from objects where object_name like 'A%'; No errors... but, let's validate datafile for corruption. RMAN: backup validate check logical datafile 5; Notice "Marked Corrupt" column. Hm... 457 like before. Don't worry, this is not new corruption. These are FREE blocks which will be reused and Oracle will automatically re-format those blocks. Query the v$nonlogged_block view again as given above. We could force re-formatting creating dummy table and inserting data to dummy table. Check Doc ID 336133.1. create table s # n number, c varchar2#4000$ $ nologging tablespace DEMO1; SQL: BEGIN FOR i IN 1..1000000 LOOP INSERT /*+ APPEND */ INTO sys.s select i, lpad#'REFORMAT',3092, 'R'$ from dual; commit ; END LOOP; END; / SQL: drop table sys.s purge; Notice that we don't have corrupted blocks any more. RMAN: backup validate check logical datafile 5;

Answering people’s questions is great, and the feeling you get when you solve a problem always felt good. The only problem I have is making tutorials is a little bit time consuming. It requires planning the subjects that need to be covered, recording the tutorial, editing the video, rendering it and finally uploading it on YouTube. So I need your help in Collecting All the codes at one place. I made a website Codebind.com for sharing my code and other programming stuff. But I alone can not do this. So Ask you guys to become contributor to this site. Just Share the code Which you learn by watching Programming Knowledge or You can simply share your Programming Knowledge with others. What is your Benefit? 1 - Together we can collect all the codes of All my videos and share it with others. 2 - Sharing Knowledge is the biggest learning. By sharing You can understand the concepts better. Bindas Programming..........

PLS-2: My First PL/SQL Program

11:34
For Full Course Experience Please Go To http://mentorsnet.org/course_preview?course_id=5 Full Course Experience Includes 1. Access to course videos and exercises 2. View & manage your progress/pace 3. In-class projects and code reviews 4. Personal guidance from your Mentors Goal is to write your first PL/SQL program. The basic program unit in PL/SQL is the block. A PL/SQL block is defined by the keywords DECLARE, BEGIN, EXCEPTION, and END. These keywords partition the block into a declarative part, an executable part, and an exception-handling part. Example of a Block DECLARE bonus NUMBER(8,2); emp_id NUMBER(6) := 100; BEGIN SELECT salary * 0.10 INTO bonus FROM employees WHERE employee_id = emp_id; Exception When NO_DATA_FOUND THEN null ; END; This is a typical PL/SQL block where 10% of salary is selected and stored on a temp variables bonus. If for some reason there is no employee with empid = 100 then the control will come to exception area and the code in the exception area will be executed. These blocks can be entirely separate or nested one within another. The basic units (procedures and functions, also known as subprograms, and anonymous blocks) that make up a PL/SQL program are logical blocks, which can contain any number of nested sub blocks. Therefore, one block can represent a small part of another block, which in turn can be part of the whole unit of code. Anonymous Blocks Anonymous blocks are unnamed blocks. They are declared at the point in an application where they are to be executed and are passed to the PL/SQL engine for execution at run time. You can embed an anonymous block within a pre-compiler program and within iSQL*Plus or Server Manager. Triggers in Oracle Developer components consist of such blocks. Subprograms Subprograms are named PL/SQL blocks that can accept parameters and can be invoked. You can declare them either as procedures or as functions. Generally use a procedure to perform an action and a function to compute a value. You can store subprograms at the server or application level. Using Oracle Developer components (Forms, Reports, and Graphics), you can declare procedures and functions as part of the application (a form or report) and call them from other procedures, functions, and triggers (see next page) within the same application whenever necessary. Note: A function is similar to a procedure, except that a function must return a value.

This video demonstrates a brief overview of the stealth bomber ships (more specifically, in this case, the Nemesis) and will hopefully help someone who is just starting out in their bombing career know a bit more about the ship and what it is capable of. In the future, we hope to make similar videos that are more in depth in each specific point brought up during this lesson. Feel free to post any correction to errors we may have made in the comments below and thanks for watching.

CppCon 2018: Kate Gregory “Simplicity: Not Just For Beginners”

01:28:34
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2018 — Many people say that simple code is better code, but fewer put it into practice. In this talk I’ll spend a little time on why simpler is better, and why we resist simplicity. Then I’ll provide some specific approaches that are likely to make your code simpler, and discuss what you need to know and do in order to consistently write simpler code and reap the benefits of that simplicity. — Kate Gregory Gregory Consulting, Partner Kate Gregory has been using C++ since before Microsoft had a C++ compiler. She writes, mentors, codes, and leads projects, in both C++ and .NET, especially for Windows. Kate is a Microsoft Regional Director, a Visual C++ MVP, has written over a dozen books, and speaks at conferences and user groups around the world. Kate develops courses on C++, Visual Studio, and Windows programming for Pluralsight. — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com

EVE Dread Pirate Scarlet, Level 4 (Tengu Solo)

"comments and tips in well-mannered statement, otherwise it will result in removal and user ban." -------------------------------------- Faction: Angel / Blood Raider / Gurista / Serpentis Mission type: Encounter Space type: Normal Space - Can warp to member of fleet in any pocket directly, but cannot warp to any previous pockets directly. Damage Dealt: All kinds Recommended damage dealing: Explosive or Kinetic (based on random spawn) for the first pocket, Kinetic for the rest. Thermal EM do minimal damage. Web/scramble: none Pocket 1 (warp in) Acceleration gate is locked and 20 KM away from warp-in. Note: Warping out may cause a new Angel or Serpentis spawn with the same number of cruisers/battleships. Group (Auto-aggro): (55 KM) 4 x Cruiser (Angel: Liquidator/Marauder) / (Serpentis) 5 x Battleship (Angel: Malakim/Nephilim/Warlord/) (Target Painter) / (Serpentis) Nephiliim orbit at 31k, Malakim/warlord orbit at 7k-8k Last battleship killed drops the key to unlock the gate. Key will not be consumed on use. The key is labeled "Gate Key". OR 5 x Battlecruser (Serpentis: Corelatis Squad Leader/ Corelum Cheif Guard) (Damp) 4 x Battleship (Serpentis: Core Admiral/Core High Admiral) Pocket 2 Acceleration gate is not locked and 29 KM away from warp-in. Group (Auto-aggro): (45-60 KM) 1 x Named Battlecruiser (Anire Scarlet) Heavy EM/Thermal She warps out almost immediately 5 x Battlecruiser (Blood Raider: Arch Sage) / (Gurista: Executor) 4 x Battleship (Blood Raider: Monsignor)/ (Gurista: Exterminator) (Heavy Jamming) Jam range 100km The Gurista battleships will do a heavy amount of jamming. Anire Scarlet is flying an Absolution and does heavy EM/Thermal damage. She will run into the next pocket if attacked or ignored for 10 minutes. This room will clear and respawn a new group upon exiting (does not respawn every time). With better SPs/tier, makes bounty-farming lucrative. (Read more below.) + Salvage possible. Pocket 3 Acceleration gate is not locked and 19 KM away from warp-in. Group 1 (Auto-aggro): (27 KM) 1 x Named Battlecruiser (Anire Scarlet) Heavy EM/Thermal Again, Anire Scarlet does high EM/Thermal damage and runs away to the next pocket. Group 2 (Auto-aggro): (31-33 KM) 3 x Frigate (Serpentis) 4 x Battleship (Gurista- Pith Conquistador) OR 5 x Cruiser (Gurista: Pithum Silencer) 6 x Battleship (Serpentis: Core Port Admiral/Core Rear Admiral) Last ship or battleship killed spawns final group. Note: Spawn group may aggro drones. Pull your drones in before triggering it. Spawn 1 (Auto-aggro): (35 KM) 4 x Battleship (Gurista: Pith Eliminator/Pith Extinguisher) (Eliminator: Heavy Sensor Dampening) OR 3 Battleship (Serpentis: Core Flotilla Admiral/Core Vice Admiral) (Heavy Sensor Dampening) There's a chance that if you have a friend warp into the room after the spawn appears, the spawn will disappear and a new spawn of 6 BS and 6 cruisers will appear. There's also a chance that this spawn Group 2 will appear if you warp out and back after killing Spawn 1, AND that it will be followed by a second Spawn 1. If you can kill Scarlet before she warps off to the next gate and before reaching the final room, she will drop an implant. Pocket 4 Group 1 (Auto-aggro): (55 KM) 2 x Elite Frigate (Gurista: /Dire Pithi Imputor/) (Web) 3 x Elite Cruiser (Gurista: /Dire Pithum Abolisher/Dire Pithum Annihilator) (Jamming) 4 x Battlecruiser (Gurista: Enforcer/Executor) or there's a chance to spawn angel counterparts. Group 2 (Auto-aggro): (70-80 KM) 1 x Named Battlecruiser (Anire Scarlet) Heavy EM/Thermal 1 x Angel Heavy Missile Battery 1 x Blood Heavy Missile Battery 1 x Guristas Cruise Missile Batteries [sic] Heavy Kinetic 1 x Serpentis Cruise Missile Battery Heavy Thermal Group 3 (Auto-aggro): (100 KM) 4 x Battlecruiser (Serpentis: Corelatis Squad Leader/Corelatis Wing Leader) 4 x Battleship (Serpentis: Core Baron/Core Commodore) Despite Anire Scarlet's 5 million ISK bounty and being mission completion trigger, she is no better tanked than any battlecruiser and is very easy to kill. 0-2 T1 modules in her wreck, nothing special. Last ship killed spawns next group. Again, spawns may target drones. Keep close watch on them; they trend to go after the sentry turrets if left on auto. Spawn 1 4 x Battleship (Serpentis: Core Port Admiral/Core Rear Admiral) OR 4 x Battleship (Blood Raiders: Corpus Oracle/Apostle) Last ship killed spawns next group. They spawn above Scarlet's Station, so if you're in a slow boat, keep the station in range. There's a chance that if you have a friend warp into the room after the spawn appears, the spawn will disappear and a new spawn of multiple BS and BC will appear. If you warp off after Spawn 1 has appeared but before Spawn 2, there's a chance that the Group 1 (Angels or Guristas) you did NOT just kill will spawn in addition to Spawn 1. ..youtube being gay, i cant list remaining strategy notes http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=DreadPirateScarlet4

Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine: What Is The Purpose?

10:11
We are here to show unconditional love! Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind'.This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself'. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
