This course provides an overview of the study of psychology, focusing on historical and current issues and problems, the methods that are used for investigating them, the results that have been reported and the theories that explain them. Course Objective The main objective of this introductory course of psychology is to make students understand, explain and predict the behavior of human beings. Through the study of this course, students will be better able to understand both themselves and others, and will also be able to apply this understanding to real life situations and problems. Learning Outcomes After completing this course a student will be able to: 1. View and discuss behavior from a scientific perspective 2. Understand the role of psychology at work place 3. Understand the wide panorama of different perspectives on the many different aspects of human behavior studied by psychologists 4. Understand the advantage and limitations of the scientific method for studying people 5. Avoid the most common misunderstandings about psychology and psychologists 6. Relate what psychologists have found out about human behavior to their own understanding of people 7. Understand the impact of both innate and learned individual characteristics (e.g., personality, emotional intelligence), and how these factors do and do not shape behavior Teaching Methodology and Requirements This course includes lectures, class discussions, exercises, and simulations. This multiplicity of methods allows students to: 1. Test their understanding of theories and concepts presented in the readings. 2. Use theories and concepts to analyze and solve actual problems in human beings. This theoretical knowledge is crucial: it allows you to be able to return to “first principles” in order to solve the new problems that you will face, continually, as a manager and a part of a society. 3. Develop skills in communicating and understanding ideas, in listening to and understanding others, and in challenging others’ views in a way that advances everyone’s understanding. 4. LIST OF ADVANTAGES OF AUDITORY LEARNING 1. Allows for Multi-Tasking Proponents of this learning style claim that learning by ear allows an individual to be versatile when it comes to accomplishing several tasks. This is because by merely listening to audio recordings, one can process information without having to use the eyes or hands. That said, a person can do other things while studying. These can be driving, cooking, painting and cleaning, among others. This makes this learning style effective for people who have to engage in other activities during the process. Consequently, more things will be done in a little time. 2. Increased Retention People who advocate for auditory learning posit that a good listener has the ability to process information through hearing information and eventually retains it. By playing audio recordings repeatedly wherever the location may be, there is an increased possibility of improved retention in the memory bank. ****************************************************************************************************** If you like this videos please don't forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more updates. social group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LETRe... website: https://letreviewer101.wixsite.com/we... Principles Of Learning

The three pillars of learning at Fuqua include: decision making, innovation, and making a difference. This is how we believe business schools can really make an impact.
Principles of learning

13:14
Educational psychologists and pedagogues have identified several principles of learning, also referred to as laws of learning, which seem generally applicable to the learning process. These principles have been discovered, tested, and used in practical situations. They provide additional insight into what makes people learn most effectively. Edward Thorndike developed the first three "Laws of learning:" readiness, exercise, and effect. Since Thorndike set down his basic three laws in the early part of the twentieth century, five additional principles have been added: primacy, recency, intensity, freedom and requirement. The majority of these principles are widely applied in aerospace instruction, and some in many other fields, as outlined below: This video is targeted to blind users.
