English Travel Vocabulary: Planning a Trip

07:08
http://www.engvid.com Are you going to travel? Make sure you're prepared with the vocabulary you will need for your business trip or vacation. In this lesson, I'll teach you the English vocabulary you must know for travel -- from preparing your travel itinerary and making reservations, to getting your visas and boarding your flight. It is essential that you know this basic English travel vocabulary, because English is an international language. ESL students who are studying abroad will find these words very helpful. Even if you are not travelling to an English-speaking country, as a tourist, you will need to communicate with people at the airport, and at tourist attractions. Watch this lesson, take the quiz, and have a safe trip! http://www.engvid.com/english-travel-vocabulary-planning-a-trip/ TRANSCRIPT Hi. Welcome again to www.engvid.com. My name is Adam. Today, I'm talking about a very interesting topic because, for example, in Toronto right now, it's very, very cold. I'm thinking about travelling; I would love to go somewhere hot to get away from this winter. So, when I travel, I have, of course, to make travel arrangements. So here, we have a list of words, a list of things that you must think about before you go on a trip to a different country. We're going to go over each of these. We're going to start with "booking" and "reservation". Now, many people think that this is more or less the same, which it is. To book something or to reserve something means to keep a place, to keep your place. You book a flight, you book a hotel room. Generally speaking, you make a reservation at a restaurant; you make a booking with a travel agency or with a hotel, with accommodations, any type of accommodation. Speaking of, accommodations are hotel, motel, hostel, B&B, bed and breakfast; all kinds of accommodations. Make sure you have a booking before you go, so your place is safe, it's kept for you. When you arrive, it's all good. Next, when you're at your destination, the place you're going to, you might want to "rent" a car. Okay? Sorry, this is accommodation. One thing I wanted to also make sure - "accommodations", without the "s", "accommodation" means something different. Okay? "Accommodations" is where you're going to sleep. And you might want to "rent" a car. You can also "hire" a car. Means the same thing. British people generally use "hire" more, North Americans use "rent" more often. Next, you have to think about your "baggage". Suitcase, luggage, bags, anything you're carrying with you. You might have "check-in baggage". Sorry, I don't know if you can see this guy. "Check-in baggage" and "carry-on baggage". "Check-in baggage" means you give it to the airline, they put it under the plane, you pick it up at your destination. "Carry-on" means you carry on, so you carry it on your shoulder on to the plane. Okay? In your carry-on, you have to be careful, it has to be small. You can't have liquids because of security and all that stuff. So things that you can't put in your carry-on, you must put in your check-in baggage and give to the airline. Next, when you get to the airport, assuming you're flying, you will have to do a few things that concern the word "boarding". Before you board your plane, get on your plane - you will get a boarding pass that lets you pass through security and into the airport. On the boarding pass, you will see your "boarding time", this is when you get on the plane and your "boarding gate", the place in the airport where you're going to get on your plane before takeoff. Okay? We can also use this for a train. You board a train, you get a boarding pass with a boarding time, and generally a boarding platform. Okay? So "boarding", getting on your vehicle, whatever vehicle that might be. You will also generally need to get a "visa" to many countries. Now, a "visa" is something that you use to get into a country, it gives you permission to stay in that country. But be aware: many places, if you're going through another country... So, for example: I'm going to country "C" via country "B". "Via" means by way of or through. So I might need a "transit visa", means I can go there, switch planes and keep going on my journey. But I'm still in another country, I need a transit visa. Excuse me. Also, make sure you're prepared to spend money as soon as you get to your destination. If you're going to a different country, that country will but using a different "currency", type of money. In Canada, we have Canadian dollar. America has American dollar. Okay? For things like that. In Europe, you need the euro. So make sure you have some of the currency before you go, or purchase it at the airport or at the destination you're going to.

Top 5 Common Mistakes on a Long Motorcycle Trip - How to avoid them?

09:33
Long Motorcycle Trip - What we need to know? Did you plan your long motorcycle trip? Are you sure that you took the right decisions? In this video I will talks about the top 5 common mistakes most of the riders make. I will also tell you few easy tips to avoid it. So guys, it doesn’t matter how good rider you are, how many km you have, if you never been on the long trip you will make some of these mistakes. 1. Mistake N: 1 – Wrong motorcycle. It is very important to have the right bike. What that’s mean? How to choose the one for you? I will try to explain: - Don’t lessen what the people will said. Don’t trust anyone about the type of the motorcycle you should have on the long trip. If you ask ten people, you will probably receive ten different opinions and what is the funny is that they all will be right. Is that possible? Of course it is. - Only you know, how fast you ride, how many km per day you will have and where exactly you will go. So, if we follow this logic, only you can choose the right bike. What you have to do is to learn something about the area you are going. Find all possible information. Terrains, roads, elevations, weather conditions and many more. I told you this many times, but I will tell you again – the preparation is the key of success. Make your homework and you will be happy after that. - To go on long trip in Siberia “road of bones” for example with GS 1200 is not the right decision. The last thing you going to need on such a trip is a heavy bike. - On the other hand to ride on the iron boot competition (1,000miles per day on the highway) with Suzuki DR 400 will be really enthusiastic adventure. - In both cases you will make a terrible mistake. 2. Mistake N: 2 - Wrong gear choice. I have seen many riders keep making the same mistakes. To go on the long trip, with leather suit is not going to be the right choice. It will work, but not every day, not in all conditions. 3. Mistake N: 3 - Too much weight. Most of you guys take way too much. To have already have bike 200-250 kg and to load more 50 on the top it’s not something I will ever do. The weight is always matter. Specially if you have plans to ride off road. 4. Mistake N: 4 - Planed too many or to little km per day. In the first scenario you have to ride too long and you can’t really enjoy the trip. In the second you will travel too slow and will need more time. In both case the result is not going to be what you expect. The best way to learn about your possibilities is to practice. Start with simple day or two trips, they will show how to do it in the future. Once you know your riding stile will be time to open the map and do it properly. Always plan a little less then you can actually ride. 5. Mistake N: 5 - To try to ride and work at the same time. The idea is to ride all day and later in the evening to try to work on the computer or the telephone and keep the business in good order. I have tried this couple of times. Every night when we stopped my friend was relaxing, drinking beers looking around, but I have to stay online, trying to solve all existing problems, to answer all e-mails and so on. The result was a big mess, which one was very difficult to fix later. Do not even try, it is not working! If you can’t leave the business alone, don’t go on the trip or find somebody to replace you. Only then you can really enjoy the journey. I don’t feel as if you owe me anything, but if you find my videos useful, then why not? The world will be much better place if we just help, instead of hate each other! Prepare for Trip to USA

09:11
This video is especially for my European friends planning on traveling to the USA. With the strict entry requirements of the USA, sometimes all the regulations can be overwhelming. There are a few documents you MUST HAVE BEFORE you go on your trip and if you don't have them, you will not be able to fly! I've made this trip many times, so I'll try to go step by step and you'll see it is not so complicated. I've also added some practical tips that I've gathered through the years and describe what is required of you at the security check, immigration, and customs. I hope this will be helpful. OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS All passengers traveling to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program (European citizens, for example) must: * book a plane ticket (e-ticket) with confirmed return or onward departure from the United States within 90 days. * hold a valid e-passport (your picture is scanned on one full page of your passport) * apply for authorization to travel using the U.S. Department of Homeland Security ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) website no less than 72 hours prior to travel For application: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov For more info: www.cbp.gov/esta * add API (Advance Passenger Information) to your booking up to 1 hour in advance of the first flight on your itinerary (get this from the airline you are flying with) * complete relevant CBP Customs Declaration form at the airport on the day of departure. http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/sample_declaration_form.xml For more on traveling to the USA, go to my Miami-Frankfurt Flight on Airbus A380 video http://youtu.be/3kkRG1O0uq0 Thanx for watching Hoppers!! xxoo WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/muchohop TWITTER: https://twitter.com/MuchoHop INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/muchohop GOOGLE+: http://gplus.to/MuchoHop

Your First Trip to Europe: How to Plan your Travel to Each City

04:25
When planning your first Euro trip, be sure to use this one simple trick: How do you know how long you should be in each city? Use this rule of thumb: 3 day cities - Any city you can think of without looking at a map (examples: London, Paris, Barcelona) 2 day cities - When you look at a map and you think, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that city!" (examples: Munich, Florence, Madrid) 1 day cities - When you look at a map and you think, "I have never heard of that city in my life!" (examples: Salzburg, Versailles, Sitges) 1-day cities are great day-trips and best paired with either 2- or 3-day cities. How to plan a motorcycle trip? 10 Practical Tips!

11:24
10 Tips to plan long motorcycle trip. (Must Watch) 1. Free time. It is obvious that without free time you cannot go anywhere, why I even say that? Because guys the free time you have will tell you where you can go. For example, if you live in West Europe and have only two weeks holiday it will be impossible to ride to Mongolia and back. You can, but you have to ship the bike. If you plan to ride it – no! It will be about 15,000km al together. When you divide it to 14 days it’s more than a 1,000 per day. 2. The right destination. Where you really want to go? What is the part of the world you want to see? Do not imitate, you are unique person, make your unique trip. Good for one it doesn’t mean that it will be good for you as well! Everybody is different! 3. Do not book in advance. Well again, it’s really depends from the trip. For example in some destinations like Genua or some other busy sea ports in Europe you really need to book your ferry in advance, but in most of the cases it is not going to be necessary and could be useless, because with motorcycle you never know when and where you will finish the day. 4. Paper map – make the route on the map. Again about the paper map – I really love them, don’t you think? When I plan my trips I always make the route on the map. There are 3 very good reasons to do it: - First is to see where I have to ride and to try to remember it in the case I lose it. - The second is to be able to calculate the km and hours per day. - Third is to see what is around and what else I can visit until I am there. All of this information will help you to make some changes and plan your route more efficient. 5. Money. It is really depends from your personal preferences. You can make it very cheap or travel like Arabian sheikh. 6. Plan days off. This is so important! Plan at least one day off per week, otherwise you will be so exhausted and you cannot really enjoy the trip. In some nice and interesting cities one day is not going to be enough. For example in Samarkand, Uzbekistan was so interesting, there were so many things to see that we stayed two days. Do not forget to include that in your overall mileage calculation. 7. Pack the right gear. Again make the research before the trip. Do not take the things you might or never use. For example you are not going to need your warm under layers or many clothes in Africa, because it will be hot, but definitely will when you ride into the north. Rain gear is not necessary in the desert, but it is very important in Ireland for example. The same with everything, jacket, pants, tent and many more. All of this will help you to reduce the weight and as you already know the weight is always matter. 8. Chose a proper bike. For long highway trips a big, powerful and heavy bike is going to be great, but on bad or dirt roads it will be a big challenge. We all know that, but when the trip is mixed, highways and dirt roads, what to do? I will suggest or at least this is what I will do is to prepare the bike for the hardest part of the trip. For example if you have 10,000km trip, but only 1,000km are dirt roads, choose and prepare the bike and the luggage for this 1,000km. It will be ok to ride 9,000km with light bike, but it could be very hard to have 1,000 dirt roads with heavy bike 9. Back up options. Always be ready with some back up options. Even if you never need it, it will give you some piece of mind and help you to feel much better. This is how our brains work- no exceptions! 10. Sort you things at home. Family, relations, kids, friends, job. Dot it before you go. Do not even think that you can handle it from a distance! It will be very difficult and almost impossible and definitely will ruin your trip. Many of you asked me: what gear I use and where they can find it? I have created this Amazon shop to make it easy for you. Note: The links I am going to provide are Affiliate. An affiliate link means, that I will earn a small commission, if you decide to buy something and it doesn’t cost you any extra. Staying Found - wilderness trip planning tutorial

18:53
Learn how to use free web tools (Peakbagger, Caltopo, Google Earth and Gaia GPS) to do pre-trip navigation planning for wilderness travel. Our example is for mountaineering, but the basic techniques work for mt. biking, hiking, XC skiing, or just about any other kind of backcountry trip. Here's what we'll cover: 1. Find a GPX track file on peakbagger.com 2. Import the GPX file into Caltopo, and make an elevation profile of your route 3. Print a map from Caltopo with your route drawn 4. Export the GPX file to Gaia GPS on your smartphone 5. Export a KML file, and open in Google earth, and get a few good screen grabs 6. Make a PDF “route beta sheet” with trip reports, Google Earth screen grabs and elevation profile Let’s start with a basic premise. A map is good to have but a map with your route drawn on it is even better. The way that we draw our route onto a map is with a GPX file, and that's what we need to start with. You can think of a GPX file as a sort of universal file format for sharing geographic data, which could be a point, or a line, or both. An example of a point might be a campsite or a trailhead. A line is the actual route that you need to take. So, where do we get a good GPX file? For mountaineering, a good place to start is peakbagger.com. This site has an extensive collection of trip reports and GPX files for many mountaineering routes around the world. Go to peakbagger and search for the peak you want. Hopefully, in the lower left corner, you'll see some trip reports and also note indicating if they have a GPS track with them. Open the trip report(s) with a GPS track(s )in a new browser window, and see if the track coverss the route that you want to try. If they do, download the track to your hard drive using the “download GPS track” link under the map preview window. Now, go to Cal topo, and import the GPS track. Change your map base layer to mapbuilder topo. From here you can print a map, on one or multiple pages, as a PDF file, with your route drawn in. In Caltopo, mouse over export, and export GPX file as a KML file. Open the KML file and Google earth, and take a couple of screen grabs. Copy and paste of the screen grabs in a word processing document to print out and take with you. Also in this document, you can copy paste and elevation profile from Cal topo, along with any trip reports that you might find on the web. Also, you can load guy a GPS on to your smart phone, and email the GPX track to yourself so you can use it when you're navigating in the field. When you're done, you should have everything you need for a successful navigation - a nice printed map, a GPX file loaded to get a GPS on your smart phone, and a couple of pages printed out with route information, elevation profile and some screen grabs from Google earth.

Voyavo Trip Planner

03:56
Travel should be social, so Voyavo helps consumers to organize, share details and invite others to join in travel planning and purchase activities prior to, during and following a trip. Voyavo allows travelers to leverage the availability of travel information and the ability to search, book, post, and share a travel plan with friends, family and business colleagues. Voyavo harnesses social networks, online travel information and mobile devices to give consumers a travel planning and destination rich experience with friends, family and associates. The idea for Voyavo began when planning a business trip to Europe for a group of employees. The client offered a general budget, extra time to take a side trip between business meetings and a request to meet staff in different European cities. The trip planning seemed like a great travel adventure turned into a daunting task for everyone. Planning included several online searches for availability, comparison shopping spreadsheets and paper notes on travel details to book flight, hotels and car rental. We needed a better way to propose a travel plan that worked for all travelers prior to booking flights, making hotel reservations and confirming car reservations. Absent from any travel site at the time was a trip planner to share details with your fellow travelers. Necessity can be the mother of invention. Voyavo.com brings a more social travel experience with the ability to share proposed itineraries, watch for the best priced items, store travel bookings, and quickly develop a travel plan to meet the needs of all travelers on a trip, before you book the travel details.

021 Planning a trip to Utah's National Parks

37:04
Utah hit the jackpot when it comes to National Parks...Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef...but how can one see them all? Allison from Tips for Family Trips shares her sample itinerary for seeing all the parks in 10 days and her top tips for visiting Utah's National Parks. ON THE PODCAST :30 Kim is in Edmunton 6:10 Allison Laypath from Tips for Family Trips 8:38 Allison's top 5 parks in Utah 9:35 How long to spend in Utah 12:33 One week itinerary in Utah 13:02 Zion National Park 13:40 Bryce National Park 15:27 Capitol Reef National Park 17:27 Arches National Park 18:55 Canyonlands National Park 21:47 Lesser known gems to squeeze in if you have time 25:30 Best time to go to Utah 29:30 Best place to take a family photo 31:15 Allison's favorite travel gear 33:50 App of the week 36:30 Next week -- traveling with allergies ABOUT ALLISON LAYPATH Allison Laypath is the founder and co-editor of the family travel blog Tips for Family Trips at www.tipsforfamilytrips.com. She believes that travel makes families stronger, smarter and happier and strives to provide information and tools to help families become just that. Allison lives near Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and two children - a twelve-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. They enjoy traveling just about anywhere, but national parks, road trips and adventures throughout their home state of Utah are what they do most. Allison has an MBA from the University of Utah. Follow Tips for Family Trips on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. PLANNING A TRIP TO UTAH'S NATIONAL PARKS Plan on staying at least 7-10 days if you want to hit all the National Parks (Bryce, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef), at least two weeks if you want to hit the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley Salt Lake City is the main airport hub to fly in and out of, but you can also fly out of St. George or Moab There is a 5-6 hour drive between the three triangle corners of Salt Lake City, Moab and St. George  You could do Arches and Canyonlands OR Zion and Bryce on individual weekends For a one week itinerary, start in Salt Lake City and spend the first day driving. Day 2: Zion National Park Day 3: Bryce National Park (can do it in a ½ day) Day 4: Capitol Reef National Park (very diverse and not as crowded) Day 5: Arches National Park (the hike to the delicate arch is short but uphill and crowded so going off season is best) Day 6: Canyonlands National Park -- this park is in three different sections and the Island in the Sky district is perfect for families, especially the White Rim Overlook Day 7: Drive back to Salt Lake City If you are just spending one day per park, you will just see the highlights and do one bigger hike Stargazing tourism is popular in Bryce and Capitol Reef National Parks Some lesser-known gems include Goblin Valley State Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Zion and Arches can get very crowded during the high season and it is best to go early. Those parks also get over 100 degrees in the late spring and summer January and February are great times to go to Canyonlands because they are dry and in the 40s during that time Fall break in Utah is in October on a Thursday and Friday so the parks will be very busy during those days Spring break is usually the last week of March or first week of April Parks are crowded from April - August If you want to camp inside the park, you should book at least a few months in advance BEST PLACE TO TAKE FAMILY PHOTO The most iconic spot is at the end of the trail in Arches National Park that overlooks the Delicate Arch. Another great spot would be Bryce Canyon at sunrise. FAVORITE TRAVEL GEAR When traveling in the National Parks, Allison uses a comfortable hiking boot and the EcoVessel water bottle. Allison also likes Dansko walking shoes for her other vacations. APP OF THE WEEK  Kim and Tamara both rely on Waze to navigate around traffic jams and other obstacles along the route. My goa trip under 5000 WoW

04:53
The best beaches? Goa's charm lies chiefly in the wealth of beautiful beaches lining the shores, each with its own appeal. Take your pick from about 30 beaches strung out along the coastline. Swimming in the sea is generally safe in designated areas but take care in the months of October and November when the seabed is still settling after the monsoon. While Goa's reputation as one of the most liberal Indian states means that sunbathing in a bikini is entirely accepted, it is important to remember that topless sunbathing is illegal and wearing flimsy shorts or a bikini anywhere other than the beach is extremely disrespectful. The image of loose Western women has been circulated by the Indian media and as a result foreigners can sometimes experience pestering from local men asking for a photo or simply staring. These annoyances are less frequent on the northern beaches which are generally considered to be the most dynamic, developed and tourist populated. This also means that the best deals can often be found on packages to these areas. Calangute and Baga, for example, are prime destinations for tour operators. While lacking much authentic Indian charm, they do cater for all tastes and also house some of the most luxurious hotels. Anjuna beach, the original hippy hangout, has changed dramatically since its original days but retains a touch of the unconventional. Try to get here on a Wednesday to see the extensive flea market. Here you will find hawkers selling jewellery, fabrics and trinkets from all over India, their wares spread out under the shade of palm trees. Head north and you'll find peace again on the beaches of Mandrem, Asvem and Arambol – broad sweeps of fawn sand, backed by thickets of palm trees and casuarina pines. Similarly unspoilt is Palolem, one of the state's most southerly beaches. With postcard-perfect views, lazy beach life and a chilled-out nightlife this broad bay has little in common with the more commercialised northern beaches. For something even quieter, wander south to the next beach along, Patnem. What will I eat and drink? Rice, fish and coconut are the staple ingredients in most Goan meals, punctuated with chilli flavourings. The fusion of Indian and Portuguese gastronomy is best characterised by the ultimate Goan dish of fish curry, but the vindaloo originated here too. Brought to Goa by the Portuguese, its name is derived from carne de vinha d'alhos, or meat with wine and garlic. It is traditionally made from pork and is less fiery than you might expect. The dominance of Hinduism in Goa means that vegetarian restaurants and dishes are widespread and with the prohibition of beef for Hindus and pork for Muslims, lamb and chicken are the meats that appear most often on menus. Drinking alcohol in Goa doesn't have the same stigma attached to it as it does in other parts of the country. In fact, the region produces and consumes its own variety of fiery spirit made from cashew or coconut sap: feni, made more bearable when diluted with water or soda. When to go The best time to visit Goa is after the monsoon, which lasts from June until late September. The cooler tourist season begins in November and lasts until March. Even during the cool season temperatures can peak at 31C and drop down to around 23C. There is a massive influx of tourists over the holiday season from mid-December to late January, so prices rocket. The hottest months to visit are usually April and May when temperatures can reach 33C, but it is also very humid during this time. Getting around Auto-rickshaws – open three-wheelers with small, noisy engines – are the standard way to cover small distances. Fix a fare in advance. In resort areas, you can rent a bike for less than £1 a week. Rented motorcycles are a popular, albeit dangerous, form of transport. Hiring a car with a driver can often work out cheaper than self drive rentals, and considering the hazardous Indian driving regulations it's safer too. Expect to pay around Rs600-1,000 (£7.50-£13) per day. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "himachal vlog : dharmshala mcleodganj " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pWVpXZ7Pg4 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

How To Plan a Trip to Japan (or any international trip)

In this video, we address these questions and we walk you through exactly how we plan international trips. This guide could work for travelling to other countries too, but since we are planning another trip to Japan, we used that as our example. We hope this helps you! This island off the coast of India has long been on my bucket-list for loads of reasons, like having the best safari outside of Africa, boasting eight UNESCO World Heritage sites to explore, and lots of lovely, gorgeous beaches complete with idyllic white sand and crystal clear water that's perfect for surfing. In fact, for an island about a ¼ of the size of the UK, there's loads to see and do, depending,  of course, on what you want out of your trip. Coming up, I'm going to tell you about getting here, some tips on transport, then some stuff on food, money and language and some awesome places to visit. So, let's get on with it… We flew 10 hours direct from Heathrow to Colombo, which is Sri Lanka’s capital city. Flights arrive at Bandaranaike International airport, which is 30km north of the city. Taxis are very cheap in Sri Lanka, and this can be the easiest, and certainly quickest way to reach your destination from the airport. If you’re heading straight into Colombo you can catch the express bus which takes about 25 minutes, but to be honest the taxis are so cheap it’s a no-brainer. To enter the country, you’re gonna need a visa. Now this can be done when you get here, but, after ten hours in the air ..why bother with the extra admin!? Get it done before you leave. Applications cost $35 and take around 24 hours to process. Also, you’re gonna need to make sure that your vaccinations are up to date, like your tetanus and typhoid. Check with your GP beforehand. What do you need to know about public transport in Sri Lanka? Well, in all honesty, quite a bit… Public transport conditions aren't great, but are popular with locals as it's very cheap. Buses tend to leave when they’re full, so for anyone on a schedule we’d give them a miss. Also, trains are often slower and less efficient than simply getting a taxi. My advice: take anything described as luxury or express with a generous pinch of salt. The key thing in Sri Lanka is that your money goes a long way, for example our two-hour taxi  from Colombo to Unawatuna cost 9000 rupees, which is about 40 quid, so for this reason we made the most of getting around with private car hire and tuk-tuks. Hiring a driver to chauffeur you around is surprisingly affordable and, let's face it, way more luxurious! It's also a big timesaver which is a massive a bonus. The roads are in surprisingly good condition... ...just watch out for the tourists, the cyclists, the buffalo, stray dogs, and massive lizards they all make it a little hair-raising at times. We used Uber to navigate Colombo and Red Cabs for everywhere else. Failing that you could always haggle for a tuk tuk, which are ideal for quick journeys. There are a couple of things you need to know before you start off. Number 1 always agree the price before settings off and number 2 be direct about where you want to go, don’t settle for any detours or any other places they might want to take you. Anyway, up next, here are some of my favourite things to do in Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is loved by locals and tourists alike, and with palm trees, white sands and blue waters, it's easy to see why it’s one of Sri Lanka’s most popular beaches. Right behind the beach is a small shopping strip for souvenirs and restaurants... … And Ladies, going topless on the beach is a definite no-no, and if you're a couple, make the P in PDA stand for PRIVATE, not PUBLIC. OK, Newsflash!!! Sri Lanka has the best safari outside of Africa since the country has one of the highest rates of indigenous plants and animals in the world. Udawalawe National Park is a personal highlight of mine and home to some 200 different species.
