Amazon Mailing Toy Catalog for Christmas Like We Use To Get From SEARS

21 ratings | 312 views
Amazon is once again hitting us in our Nostalgic hearts this holiday season by going really old school and giving out printed toy catalogs to all the boys and girls on its good and well.. Even their naughty list. The magazine catalog is titled "A Holiday of Play", which is a throwback to the old Toys R US and department store catalogs that were marketed to families during the end of year holidays to showcase all the toys they have in their store. --- 🛑 SUBSCRIBE to Retro Crunch ► http://bit.ly/retrocrunch Retro and Nostalgia News about Current Pop Culture, Movies, Music, and Games that relates to all things Retro! +Retro Crunch oh ok. I do have Amazon prime. But i never got it in the mail, and they never emailed me to tell me that this even existed. Your video is the first I'm hearing of it.

+Retro Crunch let me try to explain it🤔 they issue these catalogs to your home, you would then order by phone using the stock number / model number/ or you can pick up in person. They would have clerks setup where you give them your order and they would go to the back of the store and get it for you.... You couldn't just browse around like you would at a Walmart or toys r us etc. Might be a Canadian exclusive thing back then lol.

Never heard of that one. Was it for a store, or just catalog purchases?

Thank ya. I dont remember how they ended up at my house, and wasnt every year, but sometimes we had a catalog.. most of the time I didnt get half the stuff i circled, but for me, having that book was almost like having the toy. Great memories.
